No problem, from what you have described with your vaping style then I would suggest a 1.8 ohm atomizer to start out. Until your urges subside a little bit. You can take long pulls and vape a little longer with those. So, overall it's more forgiving. Also, getting over the initial learning curve with your REO is another factor to take into account.

With 1.5 ohm atties, you have to take a slightly shorter pull. This is because the coil gets really hot in a very short period of time. If you exceed it's limits then the coil will pop. When you chain vape. You can also reach the same outcome. After 5 hits or so is when it's best to give it a few minutes rest. This will give the coil time to cool down. Within this time, DO NOT feed it. That's another way to kill your atomizer.

Of course, you can get one 1.5 ohm atty to see how you do. If you can manage to not kill it easily then you can always get more. They do give a nice, warm vape. You just have to consider what I have stated above.

Thanks washvap...

I tend to take nice LOOOONG pulls (5 sec approx) and if I have a mod in my hand or near my hand, Im vaping it ...so you can say Im a chain vaper. Especially a chain vaper since Im still getting over my analog addiction.

So I know there are a million threads about this...but what do you all do to clean your atties? I have tried boiling water in the microwave, then ploping my atties in for 5 min, taking them out and drying them with a blow drier and priming with some juice before storing. I seem to kill more atties with this method though....

QFT - squonking a hot atty will drastically reduce its lifespan. Took me far too long for this simple rule to take root, and I killed a slew of attys because of it.

I'm considering installing LoJack on my Reo. This way the police can respond with lights and siren to locate my priceless missing Reo!
This will also greatly reduce the separation anxiety I experience when I lose sight of my Reo for even a short time. Having said that, I'm off to take my Reo out for a walk in this beautiful weather. Have a wonderful day Reonuts!

I would imagine so - the principle's the same, don't splash cold stuff on hot metal. The coils in a carto are surrounded by polyfill, but when you squonk one, you're pushing juice up the bottom straight thru the middle, which is exactly where the coils are.

The habit I've gotten into is to just set the whole thing down when I start to feel the hit dry up. Since I always take a test pull (no power) on the atty (or carto, in your case) to get a feel for squonk necessity upon picking the REO up, this little ritual keeps me from not only prematurely killing my coils, but chain-vaping nonstop as well.

I didnt think about my chain vaping killing my cartos!!!! That probably explains why I can only get about 10-15ml thru a Boge 2.0 ohm before it blocks up and tastes funky!

Im so sold on a REO... but I work very long hours, and cannot have my smartphone with me...so no access to my email or a way to hit the PAYPAL button when the REOs come in :( About the only time I can catch it is if its after 7pm on the weekdays and sometimes on weekends (if not working those as well).

My main reson for wanting a REO is I LOVE the taste of my juice when in a fresh carto...but I do start to get off tastes after only 5 - 10 ml. Im hoping a REO with a good Atty will taste like dripping, but without the mess!!

If you get two days or so from a a carto then you are spending 75 cents or so a day. IF you get 10 days out of an atty you'll be breaking even. Rounded off figures for sure. Nothings worse than a clogged up carto.

About what voltage are you vaping with the BuzzPro and what ohm attys are you using? That might help for more feed back on your original post.

I use Boge 2.0 ohm, and vape around 4.2v ...

10-15ml through a carto is completely normal. That's how much I get through them as well. Anyways, cartos are meant to be disposable as you already know. The cotton that's wrapped around the coil steadily degrades through use and so, even though you chain vape a lot. It didn't have an effect on your carto. With VG, I get even less then what you have described. When you start noticing a hard draw and a funky flavor. Then it's time to toss that one in the garbage. More than likely it's burnt.

You'll definitely get your chance at owning a REO. So, don't even worry about it. It's not like how it used to be and you had to buy it as quickly as it came on the site. Rob's done a great job in keeping the Grands and min's in stock now at days.

That's good, because that's exactly what's happening with a REO and an atty - you're still dripping it, just from the bottom up instead of the top down. Much cleaner, and once you get the blind squonk down you'll be feeding your vape without even paying attention to it, as a wholly automatic action like flicking an ash used to be.

Totally agreed. Its frankly stunning how quickly you adjust to the squonk.

Thanks all... love the ECF forums... everyone here (and in all forums on ECF) have been great!! Look forward to trying my first bottom feeder, and with the rep that REOS Mods have, I couldnt think of a better place to get my first feeder mod.

Was the same for me. All the great folks here and the support system. What are you a wrench on?
