I have another "I want to know" question:

Can anyone tell me if the Hello 016 puts out a true 3.7v for the length of battery life before recharge? I tried to research it, but I can't find an answer. :(

Yes Bianca...the Hello 016 is a true unregulated 3.7v battery. Heres some info on other batt voltages I found. Also The Hello takes about 4 hours to charge and the ego/tornado/riva/maxx and trex take about 2hrs to charge. I hope this helps you :)

Standard 510: 180mAh battery, regulated to 3.2V
ego/tornado/riva: 650mAh battery, regulated to 3.2V
Maxx/trex: 650mAh battery, unregulated (3.7V average)
Bauway/Hello 016: 1300mAh battery, unregulated (3.7V average)

Thank you! Helped me very much! I thought it hit at a true 3.7v just from comparing it to my eGo. Good to know it wasn't just my imagination. :)

Wait a minute! I didn't know what a Maxx was, so I looked it up. You mean that device that looks as sexy as my eGo is a true 3.7v device??? I can have 3.7v vaping in an eGo like package??? Is that what you mean???????/ (sorry, I'm a little jacked up on coffee)

Maybe you also know the answer to this: Can I charge it on my eGo charger and will my eGo cone fit one of those batts? Maybe I ask too many question. ;) I'm always so torn between using my eGo or my box mod, I love the little warmer and denser (or is it "more dense???) vapor from the box, but love the feel and look of the eGo...this may be the definitive answer to this issue I'm having! Thank you for making me aware of this battery!!!

Yuppers on that one too....works with the ego cone and charger...that what the manufacturer says. :)

If ya have any more questions Im always here to help :)

Oh just to let you know B....the Maxx battery will NOT last as long as the Ego battery. Because the Maxx runs at a unregulated 3.7 and the Ego at 3.2.....so the maxx will use the battery faster. You will get about the same time as running a Ego with a LR atty. :)

Well, crud! Just found this:

"I received my Maxx today. Although I have no initial complaints about quality, I am very, very disappointed with the unit. The hype and pseudo-advertising had led me to believe that these were true 3.7V devices. They are not.. they are the same 3.1-3.2 effective volt design that is used by the "competition" (eGo/Tornado/Riva/etc..).

Certainly usable... but not at all what I was hoping for."

I just sent Scottbee a message basically begging for help. LOL! I just want to make the right choice next time I buy a device. As for now, I go between the eGo and the box mod and I'm pretty happy, I just want to get to one device and be done with it, you know? I really appreciate the time and energy you're putting into my questions! Thank you so much. :)

what about a variable voltage thing? I haven't read too much on them, but I am thinking if I drop more money on a mod, it would probably be that.. the eGo is good, but something with a little more oomph would be nice.. but the 5v I have is just a tad too much (I cough like crazy haha) so.. someone also recommended a 5v pt, which is a great idea, but what happens if i really like it, and then don't have the same for on the go.. decisions, decisions! I don't want my eGo to be lonely and abandoned! :(

I tell ya what happens!! you complain the whole time you are out that you wish you were at home using your PT :).. Just got wise a couple weeks ago and learned how to bring my USB AC Adapter with me when I go to people's houses lol (they laugh at me but, hey I'm happy so who cares)..

Well worth the $20 or less investment for the house IMO..

Well, I also heard that the 5v pt running thru the pc isn't quite 5v, more like 4v  but someone can correct me if I am wrong.. I have an inverter thing in my car that has USB ports on it so I could use that in the car.. and also have a usb to outlet thing for my phone and ipod that i think i could use, but I think someone said that would be more like the true 5v, which I can't do.. strange, huh?

B....I know scott said he was going to be away for 10 days. I know because he was getting some of the new cartos and I was looking forward to his input. So what I'm sayin is if he doesn't respond that's prolly why K?

Also, please report his findings......this is a subject I think interests many, myself included. I'm no tech geek.....but everything is suggesting that just about every battery is going to vary in voltage with usage. Thanks Hun, and Good Luck! boB

That is correct from the available information, and makes sense with people finding true 5V devices harsh compared to a PT. I don't have the exact #s handy though. Have you tried LR attys on your ego?.....I'm finding that to be the best all around experience with these fluctuating battery voltages. boB

Melanie, you're right, the 5v PT is NOT putting out 5v. More like the 4v you've heard. I think the one I have/had (it's with the smoker, trying to convert her!) hit very much like my 3.7v box. I truly love 3.7v vaping. It's just enough warmth and vapor to really keep me happy. I hate to get a VV beause I can almost guarantee that more than 3.7v is too much for me. So.... grrrrr.
