If your drip tips are melting.. something is really wrong. That part does not even sit in the juice. And really, I have pc tanks that have been holding butterscotch, cinnamon/clove and another with orange extract (all "tank crackers") for weeks with no issues, other than I can't keep enough juice in them as they are the main stay juices in my house. Starting out with clearo's didn't cause an issue with the flavors for me or my wife either.. Currently we both use either smoketech tanks or cheapo Health Cabin tanks (my HC tank is on week 7 with orange extract in it..).

Something is missing from the data...

I'm seeing much about tanks... (for now) I am using a Vaporous King Storm 2.0 (ego lookalike), and have been curious about the plastic compound that the cartridges are made of. I called Vaporous King, and customer service was not helpful. The guy on the phone had no idea.

If anyone knows for sure, this would be helpful, as embarrassing as it is not to have figured this out on my own.

I'll be upgrading soon to a variable-voltage mod... and a carto-tank. ;)

they are usually polycarbonate, but i'm kind of new to the issue (obviously) so maybe someone else has some helpful info.

Some of the flavors are more destructive than others. I have heard of them melting acrylic drip tips before. If the juice can make its way to make contact, it can do it, believe me. I have heard of the plastic tips in a Vivi Nova tank melting because of a cinnamon flavor being used.

And to add, not all cinnamon or citrus flavors are volatile to polycarbonate. Some are, some aren't. But to be sure, it is the flavoring agents used that causes this phenomenon, not vg liquids in general.

Yeah, I've been using a CE4 with root beer for weeks now with no problems. I checked the site where I bought them and they make no mention of what they are made of, so maybe I have been luck in avoiding the pc tanks. Mine are crystal clear, though, and it is my understanding that this in an indication that it IS made of polycarbonate, which I should be having problems with, correct? I have another new one that I just filled with butterscotch, which I have also heard is a plastic killer. I'll keep an eye out and let you know, but for now (knock on wood) so far, so good!

ooh... what kind of atomizer would you use with this? (sorry, used to buying the complete tanks)

And that, fellow vapers, is why I have been saying that everyone needs to stop calling Vivi Nova, Kanger and other large clearomizers "tanks".

Because they simply are not... And using the wrong terms, confuses the noobs

Quoted for truth! They are at best clearo-tanks. Clearomizer tank hybrids.

Calling them a tank just because they hold liquid is like calling a carburetor and fuel injectors the same thing because they both deliver gas.

LOL it is a major pet peeve of mine.

I cringe every time I read it.

Same here. I mean we call what many vapors consider a true tank,a carto tank and its more deserving of the title than something thats made in China and has only been available what...a year?

Why not call it a clearo tank to avoid confusion?

Somewhere out there
I only use pyrex glass or poly tanks, Valley has both, High Desert Vapes has both and the Smoktec Titan (Screw Tank) is Vivi Nova type that is also poly. I never buy carbonate as they all crack and leak in time and I can't believe it is still being used for tanks, I think carbonate is worthless in the vaping world. bnrk

I have been using 100% vg but have found that they are really harmful in any tanks i've tried so now I'm using mostly PG formula which I don't really like that much... any info would be helpful! thanks
100% vg-er.......get a bottom feeder and vape off an atty.

really.

Cartos, clearos, tanks just don't like high VG. I do 100% VG so I have tried it all....and then some.
