I just got this great idea. There are tons of people who just like to use their ecig with no effects. What about using water or even flavored water droplets as opposed to the 0mg no nicotine liquid? Isn't that level just water anyways?
Distilled water at my grocery store is less than a dollar a gallon. I reckon it's pure enough if it is sold in the drinking water section and boldly proclaims "Distilled Water" on the label.

Water won't vaporize in an electronic cigarette, end of thread.
But to add to that, I think that people who clean their atomizers, wherein water is used at some point in the process, do not let their atomizers dry long enough and think they killed their atomizer when they really didn't. If they would just let it dry longer, it would probably work just fine.
I blow my atty out into napkin or rag until nothing comes out... then let it sit for an hour or two - seems to be long enough. If I am in a rush, I have a small air compress that I blast it with ;o)
My personal opinion is either let it dry overnight AT LEAST or put it in an oven at 150 degrees for 20 minutes if you're in a hurry. But you mileage may vary.
