way to label cartos

Elmers (the glue people) make a line of paint pens; you can find them at WalMart. Lots of primary colors. I have red, yellow, and white... use them for labeling lots of items. For carto's you'll want to make sure you get a fine tip. Also, at craft places like Hobby Lobby, often have paint pens in dozens of shades and colors.

A quick easy way to draw a band on a carto: lay the pen down on a flat surface, and stand the carto up next to it touching the pen, and turn the carto. Place the pen on top of something, or the carto on top of something to raise or lower the band.

I didn't go through all the replies here and someone may have made this suggestion, but what I use to distinguish is fingernail stickers. At Walmart you can buy a pack of fingernail stickers in all shorts of shapes & colors. I pick two matching stickers put one on carto/cart and one on liquid bottle. I have not had liquid discolor or removed sticker either.

I've been searching for colored orthodontic elastic bands since I read about someone using them here. I must have haunted every drug store in San Antonio. No dice.

This info may be here already further on, but I use the tiny elastic hair bands and they come in lots of colors. I also mark my attys with them so I can keep track of what is newest. I use varied colors and dbl bands on some, etc., and keep info in my notes on my iPhone. May sound weird to some but it sure helps keep track. I am not a fan of colored tanks since it's harder to determine when they need refilled since getting below half is an issue with my system.

I will be using multicolored orthodontic rubber bands. I will just choose colors to put on the bottle caps then use the same color on each carto, it'll work for mixing flavors as well just put multiple rubber bands on the carto.

Yeah, sharpie will rub off, but the ultra fine sharpie (looks like an ordinary felt-tip writing pen) seemed to stick better than the "regular" fine tip sharpie (in the traditional fat body). The paint pens DO stick better. They won't WIPE off, but you can scrape them off with a thumbnail. Whether sharpie or paint-pen, a good wipe with alcohol before applying will help remove oils that prevent good adhesion.

I use sharpie for testing new (to me) juices, and paint-pen when I'm ready to commit to a juice.

The "fine" paint-pens have tips about the same as a "medium" sharpie.

White gaffers tape, you can hand rip it to size if necessary and no glue residue left behind when you reuse the label on the next carto. Good for labeling eliquid bottles too.

I tried several of the suggestions here and none seemed to work for me. I have a lot of juices so the color coding isn't helpful.

The sharpie pens rub off (who would have thought that? I always thought sharpie was forever! LOL) and the glue/paint pens scratch off. The labels someone linked here came from Cafe Press, and while the white ones may be fine, I tried the clear and they do not show up well on my black cartomizers.

So I bought a Dymo Letratag, some silver tape and printed some in the smallest font it has available. Works great and looks good!

I have a Brother label maker. I have many many flavors so I never know what is in what. I will though. My label maker is sitting in wrapping paper. I went to buy one tonight and the missus told me I don't need to buy one.

Just wanted to share what my 808 looks like labeled. Now this is after constant use for about a month.



As you can see, the font still looks good and the tape is not peeling. Make sure you get the metallic tape though. I originally tried it with white paper tape and the ink rubbed off pretty quick.

The XR. It's the least expensive and works great!

All of these are wonderful ideas. I actually bought a craft box with small dividers. I toss the carto in a square compartment then close it and write on the top (over the compartment area) with a sharpie the flavor in that slot. Easy to remove the sharpie marker when you run out of said flavor and replace with a new flavor. Does that even make sense? Perhaps a picture would help.

Sounds like me But I do have 4 new flavors on the way, so...
Maybe I better do something. I have some gold cartos that I use strictly for Martguerita flavor, but that's it. I didn't think Martguerita & coffee would mix too well.

So, which one did you get? How's it working? I see Brother offers labels in 3.5mm and 6mm widths which seem perfect. How do the labels stand up against carto heat?

It's been a week, and the labels are holding up great, (and I swap cartos like every 15 minutes, so those condoms are coming off/on a lot!).
