So i started DIY mixing my own e-juice yesterday. I was done with the dangerous nic base and took my gloves off, while working with pure vegetable glycerin some of it got on me and it felt very familiar rubbing between my fingers, very slippery, at the time I could not quite place why it felt so familiar, I have had never handled vegetable glycerin before? or have I?

The wheels in my mind finally started turning and after a little internet research; the three main ingredients in Astroglide? water, propylene glycol, and glycerin. e-juice is more or less Astroglide with with nicotine. different proportions i am sure but the chemicals are there.

Why did I share this TMI with you all? well I have been concerned about vaping, I know I felt so much better then when I smoked but what if 20 years from now I have the damp lung? vaping just has not been around that long, who knows right?

This little tidbit of info eases my fears a bit, while our respiratory tract is not completely analogous to our other parts (that might enjoy personal lubricant), our respiratory system is a mucus membrane just like our other parts. These lubricants have been used on our other bits in high dosages for many years with no known ill effect. FDA testing etc etc.

It's only a matter of time before some vaper starts wrapping his wick to make it into a coil with all that juice potentially going to waste. It's finding the right voltage that's my concern.
