Getting a DNS error since 8am this morning...

Nameserver trace for madvapes.com: Looking for who is responsible for root zone and followed j.root-servers.net.

Looking for who is responsible for com and followed b.gtld-servers.net.

Looking for who is responsible for madvapes.com and followed ns1.apvman.com.

Nameservers for madvapes.com: ns1.apvman.com ns2.apvman.com

Edit: Odd - I can ping the MV website and the name-servers, but can not connect with a browser. Tried 3 different browsers.

No, still can't connect. Also tried a different computer. I can get there from my smart-phone but not from my LAN. Hmmm. I'll keep troubleshooting. I use OpenDNS so the problem could be on my end.

Problem solved. I normally use OpenDNS. When I reconfigured to my ISP's DNS servers, the problem disappeared. So it's an issue with OpenDNS.

Do you happen to have MI-Connect for your ISP? We have them and had to move to google dns so we could get to our own website.. Got tired of calling them and having them reboot thier dns server..

No, my ISP is Comporium. Comporium has their own DNS servers but I use OpenDNS for an extra layer of security.

Down again in Georgia as of 10:32 8/22. Any other web address works but a "is it down for everyone or just me" service says it's just me. ??? It absolutely has to be a government conspiracy. They think the world of vaping can't handle me yet.

May I recommend google DNS? I used to use opendns exclusively but switched after several issues like this with bad or slow zone updates.

Google DNS is at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 if I recall correctly.

Thanks, that is good to know. And yes those IP addresses are correct. This is the first time in 5 years that I had a problem with OpenDNS.

I am in Mississippi. It was down some yesterday, came back on last night. Was going to order something last night. When I went back to the website it was down and has been down for me ever since. Tried several times today and cannot bring up the site. Tried a couple of different browsers, none work

It's timing out right now from two different locations. MySQL connection error and I saved more of the trace if you want it. Not complaining, just want you to know.
