I've had the Boge Rev 2 for a month now, and loved it. Loved the shape, feeding, everything. Unfortunately, I got curious and opened it up, and broke the snaps. And, too be honest, it was leaking a ton. So I got the Vmod.

Love the shape just as much, and I'm very happy with it. The button is a little sloppy, but thats my only complaint.

However, something is really perplexing me. The "hybrid" atty that comes with it. Rated at 2.2 ohms. Doesn't act like it.
At all. I'm down to my last 1.5 ohm atty, and I was going to let my fiance use it with the Boge after fixing it up again. I was planning on just dealing with it until my next order of 1.5s comes tomorrow. So, I put in the 2.2 ohm atty dreading the thin low power vape I anticipated. I mean, the two batts in the boge rev2 put off around the same voltage as a 18650, so.. in theory there should be no difference, right? But there was. That thing gets HOT. Puts out big plumes of vapor, too.

Anyways, confused, I dropped in the 1.5 ohm atty. Same old, decent warm vapor production, same as with the boge. Whhhhaaat? My power output should be around 8 watts with the 1.5, and somewhere around 7.2 at full charge with the 2.2. How is this happening?

Side note - sometimes, USPS really impresses me. Ordered it Wednesday, shipped out that evening, arrived Friday at noon. From Texas, to Minnesota. To a city in a declared state of emergency with most of its post offices closed due to extreme flooding? Hoooooow?

Same. The thing is, the 2.2 ohm one is a cartomizer. Or I've been sleepwalking a lot.

But I've figured out how to make an atomizer work now. Because I bought a few. Because I thought one thing was the other. I totally fooled myself this time. In my defense, the drip tip was stuck on the thing and I couldn't see inside very well.

Mine came with both a 2.2 atty and carto. I attempted the carto.. Not so great. I didn't buy the thing to use it with cartos, though, so no big deal there. I'm still very impressed with that hybrid atty, I might have to pick up a few more, even if they are ridiculously overpriced. I'm using 1.5 ohm atties on it right now, and they run a little too hot, which surprised me. I may just go ahead and put in a variable voltage chip I tore out of a knockoff ego batt a while ago, I'm not really digging the fluctuation in voltage output I get stock.

That is very odd as my XL came with a 2.0 ohm hybrid atty and a 2.2 ohm cartomizer..... I even tried to get a 1.5 ohm atty when I ordered it and Vapage told me they were already pre-packaged with the above mentioned items and they could not change them out. I had to order a 1.5 ohm hybrid from COV to try out. Not a bad atty, but its not the same as a Cisco 1.5 ohm 306..... The 1.5 out performs the 2.0 by miles.... I will save it for the VV Box mod I will purchase in the near future though. It feeds exceptionally well. I do like the design of the atty over a standard....

I too just got my first bottom feeder, a Vmod XL a few days ago. Been using the 1.5ohm attys that Vapage sells separately. Overall I'm pretty happy with the vape, especially on a fresh charged batt.

Not liking the droppoff as the batt discharges, but I got a Kick I plan on adding soon that will take care of that.

I have a couple questions regarding attys. There seem to be so many different kinds available. Are there any particular ones I should avoid (other than sealed post)?

I was looking at these LR306 Atomizers Pack of 5 with a discount code.

Any reason they wouldn't work with the Vmod?
Is there a better option?
Is bridgeless a better or worse option for bottom feeding?
Would there be an advantage / disadvantage to going with the 306 LR vs the 510 LR from that site?

My other area if interest is in the bottles.

Anyone know of an alternate source for like threaded bottles?

Size doesn't have to be exactly 9ml. Heck I'd even buy a specific vendor's juices just to get a few extra bottles that would work. Sorry but Vapage's empty bottle prices just seem like sheer gouging to me.

A lot have liked 306 on the vmod. Only downside -- best to get one of the taller 306 drip tips to go with it. The thin delron ones work the best.

These bottles are made for the Vmod and I don't know of any available with the same threads elsewhere.

Maybe I'm not hard on bottles, but I've only "lost" one bottle in a year 1/2 of BF vaping. My extra(s) that came with the Vmod kits are safely stored, just in case. Since the Vmod doesn't require more than a gentle push (no hard squanking required) they should last a long time.

Is there like an "Atomizer 101" thread somewhere? I'd like to learn what all the differences are between like the 306/510/901/i06's, and the Cisco vs HH, bridged vs bridgeless etc etc.

At least I know to stick with LR until I can Kick my Vmod, and to avoid sealed posts.

But as for the rest, some seems like personal preference & some is just a mystery to me.

Just got my XL in today. So far I am LOVING it. I first tried the cartos... flavor was ok. Then I threw on the 2 ohm hybrid atty it comes with and holy crap is it awesome. The flavor tastes exactly the same as dripping and the way it is designed allows for about twice as many good tasting hits compared to a normal atty. I am definitely going to pick up some more of these and probably try out the cicsos as well. But for now I'm super happy with the atty included in the device. I was afraid that feeding the juice would be a problem... but so far it's just worked flawlessly. I'm seriously considering getting another one of these for the girl friend.

I don't know of one -- but here's my summary. (and not everything) 306 was an early design as was 901. 306 warmer. 901 for flavor (with different threads). Then the 510 came out -- best of both worlds and became the atty of choice for ages.

Now there are many brands and "designer" brands of 510 and 306. The 306 has gained in popularity recently, and since it uses the same threads at 510, certainly worth checking out.

There are also some hybrids and other configurations making hits. Things like i06, hh357 and the vapage hybrid, of course.
