If anything gets in one of the intake holes - a piece of dust, a piece of lint...anything at all, it won't draw correctly.

Jeezz... don't ask, but I got sand in my atomizer yesterday! All stuck to the juice on the inside side of atomizer tube! I guess I got it out, because it's still working great...

One thing I don't like is the mouth piece -- I like the tapered 901 mouth piece much more. But I am sure manufacturer could introduce that in the future.

I'm with you. I'm always trying to vape the wrong end because of that.

And I don't like that the atomizer gets so hot. I'm always trading them out to let them cool off.

You would have to taze me to pry the 510m's out of my hands.
I have been using them exactly 3 weeks & still dripping into the original 2 carts. Have placed 2 orders with Jason at electro-nic-stix & recieved both here on the west coast in 2 days. Abandoned Marlboro instantly!
Thanks to all the info I gleaned from this forum, I'm batting 1000.

If there's anybody faster than Jason, I would have to see it to believe it. Everytime I place an order with him I imagine a guy bustin' his .... to the post office. I'm probably not far off on that assessment. What I don't understand is how he sends these:

"I recieved your order from paypal"

"Your order is being processed"

"I am now packing your order"

"Your order has now been sent"

"Here is your tracking number"

"I didn't have your carts in stock so I put in a 30ml 36mg Cappucino instead - hope that's okay"

"Your order has been delivered"

I swear. The dude must have 8 arms, 12 legs, 6 laptops, and a crystal ball.

Jason rocks just as much as the 510! One of the very best in the business today.

That's pretty much how every order from Jason has been! Also, he's the guy that finally convinced me that the 510 was worth a shot.

Jason said that he's getting in "whistle tips" for the 510. Not for me, but to each their own. I see there's a demand for them though!

The most common error is not conditioning the 510 batts right out of the box. First charge is 8 hrs....30 minutes of vaping....and then another hr of charging. I don't know why these batts are different from the 401s, 801s, 901s etc etc....but they are. Incorrect conditioning can lead to a poor draw and vapor production right off the bat (no pun intended).

Several other causes that I should mention are quite simple. I've noticed several factory carts that the stuffing is over-packed. If you can't get a good draw when simply drawing on the cart all by itself, you won't get a good draw when it's hooked up to the batt. Another simple fault could be even easier than restuffing a cart. If anything gets in one of the intake holes - a piece of dust, a piece of lint...anything at all, it won't draw correctly. Plug the batt side of the atom with your pinkie and blow thru the cart side. You should feel two columns of air blowing easily out either side near the threads. Even a little dried liquid or gunk from an overfill can cause this.

I assume you tried both atoms that came with the kit. If it's not the atom, then it would have to be either the batt or the cart. There is simply nothing else to keep you from experiencing what we all know. The 510 rocks!

I hope that helps, good luck, and welcome to the group!:)

Thanks for the very detailed info!

I've never heard of e-cig batteries needing to be charged a certain way, but I'll give it a try. Both my (kit) 510s perform about the same, so I'm wondering if I got lucky and got a really good M402 :D.

"Whistle Tips"? Oh no, does that mean Bubba Rub and Lil' Sis are in the eCig market? WHOO WHOO! "Just for decoration, that's it and that's all." (Hope you've seen the youtube video or you'll have no idea what any of this madness means, if not just search whistle tips and laugh your ... off).

I really like my 801, lots of vapor and a long lasting cartridge, batteries ok.
BUT, I wish they made a heftier, shorter battery so it wouldn't be so obvious, it is longer than a Bic! And the mouthpiece is very comfortable. The round ones feel so big to me.
So I guess no matter what you have there are improvements to be made. I tried a "SS118" some call it a mini-cig, for the cartridge size and mouth piece, but it draws really hard and not hardly any vapor.

-Battery takes way to long to recharge, any battery that takes longer to recharge than use mean you need multiple charges by default definite negative.

My PCC arrived yesterday from another distributor other than Jason from electronicstix as he doesn't stock it yet. I've been using my 510 all day and I haven't recharged it even once.

PERFECT accessory if you have a 510. I just put it back into the PCC when your done vaping and it charges it back up on the fly.

The only issue I had with it was the manual batteries with the LED. They fit in it but the button gets pressed once you slide it into the PCC. I had this problem with one out of my two 510 batteries as the button was a little thicker than the other one. I took an exacto knife and trimmed a wee bit off and now it works great. If you can stand doing this, the PCC is perfect! I no longer have to worry about bringing spare batteries or multiple chargers as well as worrying about where to charge.

When I watched iGetcha's review of the TECC 510 Titan, he mentioned that TECC had acknowledged that their early batches had problems, and that these were going to be addressed. That was some time ago, and I recently received my own TECC 510 Titan, and I can report as follows (regarding some of the points people have raised here):

  • There appears to be no shut off on either the manual or automatic batteries.
  • There is a light on the manual battery (someone mentioned here that there isn't on their model)
  • I haven't noticed a particularly hot atomiser (even with the USB passthrough) - definitely not as hot as the EVO.
  • Liquid consumption - this may well be high, but that's an understandable side effect of lots of vapour being produced.
  • I haven't witnessed any leaking from carts
  • Battery life - problem is largely irrelevant if you use the PCC, which I think is a great little device!
  • As hinted in a previous point, there is a USB pass through.
  • And finally, even with heavy usage of the pass through, no burnt taste!

Not sure if the PCC or USB pass through are available from other distributors, but TECC (in the UK) do have these, and so far, mine have worked great.

All in all, a cracking little e-cig.

@bugeater - regarding your problem with the manual battery button in the PCC, if you look inside the PCC in the battery charging slot, you'll see that on one side, there is a channel cut so that the button can comfortably slide in without being pressed. You just need to align the battery correctly when inserting it into the case, and there then appears to be no problem.

Yeah... I was just thinking to myself how great it would be to have a little groove in the PCC for the button. However, I got my PCC from JantyUSA. Their PCC didn't have a groove which is why I shaved a little of the button.

Note to Janty... Get your groove on!!! :p
