I bought 4x 4.5 ohm attys for 6v vaping and they came in last night. Super fast shipping and I am VERY pleased with Madvapes. The first 2 cooked after about 5-6 puffs. Horrible burt taste and no ejuice taste. The next 2 I removed the wicks thinking that maybe the wicks were getting fried. After removing the wicks taking great care not to touch the atty, cleared out the atty of ejuice and redripped. Both fired twice with the same terrible burt taste and fried. Now I have 4 attys that are dead. My question is... Is it my dripping (3 drips) that is doing it or just bad luck with all 4 attys?

I'm not a fan of removing the wicks. They act as a heat regulator in a way by keeping the coil moist and not allowing it to get red hot. When they get red hot, the coils tend to become brittle and burn out pretty rapidly.

As far as the taste, could be a couple of things. Could be primer in the atties which is easily resolved by blowing through them when you first get them but it also could be the juice. Some liquids hate hot and burn on their own. I know some of our chocolate stuff does that and I won;t go near it at HV because of that.

I know probably not much help..

I have used this ejuice with the 4.5s that came with the RS kit before and they worked fine. Not sure what happened here. I am hoping that maybe the 2 I took the wick out of are just flooded. When I get home from work tonight I'm gunna blow them out. Any suggestions on cleaning the attys out to get that nasty taste out with just using water? Boil them?
