2% FA 7 Leaves
1% FA Perique Black
1% FA Dark Vapure
0.5% FA Black Fire
0.5% FA Oakwood

I mixed it at 33/66 PG/VG. Tastes good to me in an rda already, we'll see how it does with some steeping.

I do like 7 leaves really well, but I've yet to replace it. Seems like there's always something new to test. :vapor:

What is the oak wood flavor like?

Yeah, 7 Leaves is good, and I like to use it as a base for more potent flavors. LOL, there is ALWAYS something new to test, isn't there? Mixing is a great hobby with an endless universe of flavors to explore.

The Oakwood is interesting. I read somewhere a method for taste testing whiskey. You put it in a shot glass, then cover the glass with your palm and turn it upside down for a moment to get some on your hand. Then you rub your palms together really fast for a few seconds. This burns off the alcohol so that when you smell your hands, you can get a feel for the flavor without the burn of the alcohol impeding your senses. This helps you know what notes to look for when you're drinking it, too. Oakwood reminds me of that whiskey flavor without the alcohol. This makes sense because whiskey is aged in oak barrels. If you've never done this and you don't have any whiskey to try it with, the next best way I can think of to describe the flavor is barbecue sauce. Kind of sweet and tangy, but woody too.

Great explanation! Oakwood is now on my list lol. :vapor:

If I wasn't to make a nice rich vanilla flavor - what's the description of dulce Le leche? I'm probably gonna stick to vanillas but just wondering

Thanks -- Monica

I don't know if this will be a great description but to me it's a sort of cooked caramel cream with a little vanilla thrown in there.

Cream and caramel are often mentioned, I think because they're the closest we can get, but the flavor is unique and isn't dead on cream or caramel. But if you like cream and caramel, you'll probably like it. Several report a slight vanilla taste, just like Soignee, but I don't pick up any vanilla in what I have. (What I have is a premix from Vapers Tek.)

Ok so this is what I came up with yesterday. It tastes really good off the bat. I can see doing some minor tweaks though.

Raspberry Cheesecake TAKE #1

Raspberry - 5%
White chocolate - 6%
NY Cheesecake - 7%
Pie Crust - 2%
Graham Cracker - 1%

Ok so I was very stupid and added in 1% Cream cheese icing. It's definitely overpowering the mix. Luckily I only made 5mls so I'm gonna add another 5mls into the bottle obviously with NO Cream Cheese Icing!

So, I haven't been using my TFA flavors because they're in vials and I hate using syringes. I prefer using dropper bottles and measuring with a scale. Today I had a bunch of 10ml dropper bottles delivered so I transferred all my TFA flavors over to those and I'm going to start playing with them again. Here's the first thing I made:

Blue Skies - 33/66 @ 2.5mg

TFA Blueberry Extra 3%
FA Marshmallow 1.5%
TFA French Vanilla 1.2%
TFA Toasted Marshmallow 1.1%
TFA Whipped Cream 1%
FA Whipped Cream 1%
TFA Sweet Cream 1%
FA Vienna Cream 0.8%

It's good, but I'm going to see how it steeps and maybe play with the ingredients and ratios later.

Today I made.

Base: 5/85/10 pg/vg/water 6mg

Inawera Blend 2%
Inawera Vanilla 4%
TFA Brown Sugar Extra

Shake and vape, very pleasant but will probably add something more to it this evening.

Sounds like you're making an RY4 type? I don't have any Inawera flavors, but it seems like I see a lot of tobacco recipes using them. Do you have any recommendations for which of their tobacco flavors I should get?

The only two I've tried so far is Inawera Blend and Vanilla for pipe and I really like those. The Inawera Blend is a nice light tobacco, not too grassy, not too sweet, but the sweet note on the exhale is perfect to my tired old buds. Great stand alone or in my ry4 type mixes. The Vanilla for pipe is also a light blend with a nice vanilla on the exhale. Great stand alone or mixed with cherry, or chocolate, or cherry and chocolate or a ry 4 type mix, and the list goes on lol. :vapor:

I'd suggest poking around the Inawera thread a little. I plan on picking up the following based on these reviews. Each of them seem to be unique in a way I think I'll like.

Yet another Ry 4 type (tobacco, vanilla, caramel), heavy on the vanilla.

VZSC:
Cigar 1%
Hazelnut 1%

Inawera:
Blend 2%,
Wanilia 2%
Karmel 2%

TFA:
Vanilla Swirl 2%,
Brown Sugar Extra .5%,
AP 1 drop per 5ml

That actually looks really tasty! I'm going to make some up. Thanks!

Yeal, I really like it. These type mixes are what I vape the most of any. Let us know how it turns out for you. :vapor:

Edit to add: I usually allow these type mixes a loooong steep time tho. :vapor:
