Ooh, ooh, let me handle this one! When I saw Eric use it, I pretty much had it right, but I did some research just to make sure. It confirmed my suspicion that it's a somewhat sarcastic, but in the case of Eric's use of it, not inherently mean-spirited "poke" at someone for laying out a bunch of information in the manner of a series of public service announcements (PSA's) intended to inform the general public on a wide variety of issues, with the "spots" ending with that logo (I think, and/or would guess), along with (again, I think, but am not sure), a voice-over of that slogan - "The more you know" - with the unspoken, but implied addendum ... "the better off you are".

It can also be used in a self-deprecating way, as I did after one of my more recent pontifications/diatribes/"yeah, whatevers" that I seem to be so fond of.

I'll link to an actual TMYN PSA when I can, or maybe someone else can.

Ah, cheers mate.

No worries, mate. :)

Thanks John for explaining that.

No worries, mate. :)

Here, I found a couple of good ones:

Frazier's David Hyde Pierce has some great advice about staying in school, with the added bonus of a look at "Eddie", Frazier's Jack Russell Terrier:

The More You Know with David Hyde Pierce - YouTube

But I think Conan has the best advice at all, and it really should be taken to heart (LMAO!):

Pet peeve:

Trying to take a lonely, relaxing vape break outside like I used to with cigarettes and someone coming up to me and asking "What the hell is that?" Then not taking the hint when I give a vague answer and proceeding to make a ridiculous comment about my provari mini looking like a phallic pleasure tool (not in those words exactly). Especially when I'm not in the mood to deal with a smart-...., imposing stranger, and deal with it in a normal way by giving a polite chuckle and clever response.

Side not: anyone against me starting a retractable shank attachment-accessory suggestion thread? All in good fun...ish.

this is the first time i bought pre-punched cartos for tanks. I was feeling indulgent.

Whatever convenience i gained from not having to punch or slot them myself has been overshadowed by the fact that I am having to literally post pull every. single. time. i change batteries.

I have never had to pull a post in my life before now.

I. Living in a town/area that has DRIVE THROUGH Daiquiri shops, yet not one brick and mortar vape (I know, you hate that term) store!

II. The inclusion of "e-cigs" in municipal / statewide smoking bans.

III. The mere THOUGHT of the U.S. Government stepping in and telling us we cannot vape, when "THEY" are the "ones" telling us we should quit smoking.

You could always just tell them that it's an .... probe, and that if they bend over, you'd be happy to demonstrate it for them ..... hehe

And +1 on the retractable shank idea ... I'm a bit of a tinkerer, and would be happy to assist ..... :)

I'm sorry, the avatar is not me, it's Jens Kidman, vocalist in the band "Meshuggah". I actually look a bit like him but I guess I should change the pic as I could see it being confusing.

Aww, bummer .... well, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and presume that you're every bit as wonderfully wacky and "ask me if I give a rat's ..." as he is. (The only way to be, IMHO). :)

New Orleans. Where else would you find such a thing? :p

Funny story about New Orleans. I remember an old story a Fraternity Brother at the Tulane chapter told about drinking a beer while he was driving around downtown. He pulled up next to a cop while sipping and thought ":censored:!, I'm boned".

The cop raised his bottle and toasted him.

NO is a weird freaking place. I don't think I'd ever want to drive there. Then again, cycling or walking might be even worse.

I am moving to New Orleans .... I'll rent, at first .... (from the ending of "Groundhog Day").

I find myself wondering if "Superbad" was filmed in New Orleans (pronounced "Nawlins", just for the record) ....

I do wish that all law enforcement officers could be this "chill", but I do forgive those who aren't the way I would like them to be, and have the utmost respect for anyone who ever so much as stubbed his or her toe, or risked the same, in the defense of his or her country, ideals, principles, or fellow man or beast, regardless of the "rightness" or "wrongness" of those actions or intentions, if such a thing can even be determined on some "Grand, Cosmic" or other manner of "scale".

Having so many attachment doohickeys is annoying me at the moment. I got an MVP. I love the device itself, but I'm not liking whatever the clearo thing it came with is. I'm debating whether I'd like the vivi novas because the wicks on those look like the same thing. Now I have to go on doohickey hunt to find out what I like best.

I got my first Vivi Nova maybe 3 months ago, and I haven't screwed around with anything since. The things just go and go and go, and I vape and vape and vape, as opposed to fuss and fuss and fuss. Every half a day or so, I say to myself "self ... that last hit tasted a bit 'off' .... what might be amiss?" ... and then, if I'm on speaking terms with myself, I might reply "well maybe it's a little low on joooooose, or some such wild-assed thing" ..... and then I might take a look at the tank - if I'm not distracted by a squirrel, or a falling leaf, a shiny object .............. or the near- or actual genocide, or mass murder going on in Gaza, or Darfur, or Syria, or Zimbabwe or ........ or willful ignorance, or starvation, human rights violations, the undue of money in politics, or hundreds of thousands of people dying from tobacco use in the United States alone (never mind the tens of nations in the world where over 50% of the population smokes cigarettes, many of which spend around 6% of their entire GDP on cigarettes, which I don't even think includes the money spent on treating those unfortunate souls for the illnesses and diseases caused by the actual smoking of the cigarettes ......... or my drip tip being a little loose, and needing a new o-ring, cuz' if there's one things that drives me NUTS [oops - that I might foolishly allow to drive me nuts], it's a loose drip tip. Man oh man, things like that can really get my goat.

So yeah, Jen, I'd highly recommend that you get yourself some Vivi Novas as soon as humanly possible. Knowing you, I think you'd be happiest - and that's what I really want - for everyone to be as happy as possible - with the 3.5ml "regular" size, and not the 2.0ml "Mini", which I think you'd be refilling way too often, especially since they like being kept no less than half-full IMO. At $12-14 bucks a pop or so, including three wicks/atomizers - 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8 ohms - any of which can be optimally powered with a variable voltage power unit, regardless of deviations of the coil between "nominal" and "actual" resistance - I give them a "strong buy" rating, and consider them a heck of a deal.

I'm repeating myself, but mine work "just fine" (for me, anyway) right out of the box, and I have to change wick/atomizers only about once a month or so, although they can be simply rinsed out periodically (I use a Water Pik with hot water (120-130 degrees F. or so) to "pressure wash" the coils, and it works great, when I think about/care about doing it, which is about twice in three months. I'm also looking forward to modifying them for even better performance (although they work so well for me I haven't yet bothered), using the wealth of information in these two excellent (IMO) threads:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ystems/295410-vivi-nova-rebuild-tutorial.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/284030-wick-materials-safe-vs-dangerous.html

Other threads/links that might or might be of value or interest, depending on one's subjective perspective:

As always, vape on, and I'd say "turn up the voltage", but I'd be preaching to the choir ........ :)

And if anyone is offended by my linking the Grimm Green video, I gently ask you to ask yourself why, and to please forgive me for doing so, because it seems to me that if you had been born as I, and had my DNA and my life experiences, you'd be linking to the damn thing too. (If you can think of some natural force or law of nature that would have made you do, say, or think any differently from "me", please email me with it. I've been looking for such a force for quite some time now, and can't even conceive of one, and no one else I've asked can think of one either).

Peace.

(If I get up tomorrow and find that I've been banned for some reason, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that "it's been nice", or maybe more accurately and/or appropriately, "it's been what it's been", and then I have attached a subjective label to it, which is, after all, what homo sapiens tend to do, since we, as individuals, see things, by definition, subjectively).

And before Eric beats me to it .......

1. analog... no its a cigarette
2. 20-minute video reviews of 1 to 4 liquids
3. same reviews that don'tt tell me what it tastes like... sheesh.. if you can't figure it out, don't do the review. I came to the review because the vendor didn't tell me... its a seeeecret.
4, vaping dehydrates you... no, it dehydrates your lips, mouth, throat and bronchial tubes... there's a whole lot more to "you" than those. That dry skin on your feet could be athlete's foot and not the result of vaping.
