I've used a SS Clapton coil on a few of my single coil RTAs for fun, it can sometimes give nice flavor. I normally use around 1.0 single round SS wire (28 gauge) in most of my MTL atomizers, wraps and diameter will vary depending on what my atomizer tends to feel "flavorful at" and depending on if I'm using contact or spaced. I'm a minimalist vaper most of the time and I like my resistance to come in at around 1.0.

But really the sky is the limit when it comes to building, so some practice of different types of vapes can be totally useful, etc.

Here's my very first attempt at a twisted coil - 26 gauge kanthal, 4 mm, 11 wraps, about 1.1 ohms. Heats up slowly, spits a little bit, big bursts of spit, but I don't yet get any spitback to my mouth from the Dead Rabbit (I might try higher VG). I'll give it a go for a few days, looks quite nice I think. It's good flavor, but again, takes a while to heat up on the first draw. This is my two week quit-o-versary. Yeah!

I have been using ni80 28x3/40 fused claptons. Depending on the RDA, I either have a 5 wrap (0.31ohm) or 6 wrap (0.35ohm).
I've been loving Wotofo quad core fused claptons. Although the one I have is premade (came with the SMM), I'm dropping this into my shopping cart next time. Smooth vape, lots of vapor, I'm very happy but the SMM is a small atty and gets very hot. I'll build the Zeus with it next time!

$12.95 Authentic Wotofo N80 Quad Core Fused Clapton Heating Wire - 28*4/36 AWG / 0.32*4/0.12mm dia. / 20ft at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
