what did you smoke before you started vaping?

Funny. I tried a lot of analogs but never thought any came close to Marlboro's. Over time I evolved Red to Gold to Silver, but never much liked any thing else.

Now that I vape, I switch flavors a lot. Love anything from BackWoodsBrew, but nothing so far tastes like a Marlboro. Most of the tobacco flavors taste more like pipe tobacco anyway. Doesn't matter, I don't miss it.

This thread has really given me a jones. Pardon me while I go vape a VS 555.

I've been a pipe smoker for 20 years. That's a hobby I am not giving up. The last time I smoked a analog cigarette was almost ten years ago. To quit those, I started dipping. Several years ago I switched from dipping to Swedish snus. Then they changed the taxes and Swedish snus became pretty expensive so I reluctantly resorted to the American stuff. That's crap, stains my teeth, and is way too sweet. That's what I am replacing with vaping.

I used to smoke marlboro reds mostly. Sometimes the occaisional ben bey cigar. I'd chew southern pride about three days out of the year, and claim a free carton of blue american spirits as often as i could. I was pretty loyal to those brands though. Not so much chewing, leaf is leaf, but i wouldn't smoke anything else. I never bought any marlboro juice just because of the word on the street. Everyone says its a let down so i listen. Im looking forward to some gandalf though.

American Spirit Blacks, between a pack and a pack and half a day, depending upon my stress level. I have only been vaping for about a month but I haven't found (or after the first two days even looked) for anything similar. I have pretty much fallen in love with High Brow e-liquids, in particular their French Pipe, which has become my daily vape.

Pyramid Blue, or whichever was cheapest. Lots of time I'd fish through the loose pack box of broken cartons, got the loose packs of ready mades for $1.00 each. No, haven't found anything close to the tobacco cigarette taste. Don't much make any difference now, for 11 months I've been 0Nic, 0Flavor Added. JMHO

Cheers,

My best smoke sessions were with Lucky Strikes reds, either a six-pack of dark beer, a couple almond liquor shots or a bottle of Jägermeister and a cold night, never in my life will i expect to duplicate the Lucky Strike reds flavor in a e juice, nor do i want to, i hold that brand dear to my heart as something special in my life but ultimately very very harmful, thus im left with very fond memories and a constantly growing pride that i havent touched an analog cig in 3 years (more or less) nor will ever in my life thanks to e cigs.

5 years Marlboro Red 100's
5 years Winston Red 100's
20 years Winston Light 100's
2.5 years Bronson Light 100's
11+ months Vaperite, Alien Visions, Backwoods Brew, Madvapes, Vapelicious, Aroma...and the list goes on...

My nic is down from 24mg to 6mg, and that's about as low as I'll go. Tried 0mg, but without a wee bit of nic in the mix, depression kicks back in. (I'd rather vape than take tranquilizers! ;))

I smoked American Spirit Blues for about 3 years. Prior I smoked Tops Tobacco, Camel Turkish Golds, and a brief stint with Newports. As for as finding an E-liquid that tasted like my Blues, I didn't. SI's 555 was enough of a tobacco flavour for me to start weening myself off of Analogs and their RY4 insured that I would never go back.
