I assume your comment was sarcastic in nature, but for those not familiar with the history of e-cigs it might mislead. The name "electronic cigarette" was coined in the early market due to the demographic to which the products were being marketed (smokers). It's much easier for a smoker (that hasn't heard of vaping) hearing that name for the first time to equate it with a habit they already enjoy, and hopefully to have enough interest to try the product. Also, by the time the community started to coin the phrase "vaping", the name "vaporizer" had already become popular with a very similar device that is used for another purpose (of which we can't discuss here), and it's community.
