Not that it matters, which it doesn't, but yes, Hoosier, I have read some of your posts that make me think you're a little conceited. However, you are also an asset to the DIY world, and have helped many, including myself, so I choose to ignore the pompous replies. (Honestly, who really can tell how someone is conveying a message through text anyhow?)

Pompous is as Pompous does! When you put as much effort into helping other vapers, as Hossier does, and you have the experience and knowledge that Hossier does, you've earned the right to be "self-confident".. I would never agree to "pompous" because that word implies arrogant and rude, which doesn't apply here.
Someone who knows what he is saying is based on fact, experience and logical deductions is the only kinda guy I want to listen to. That's just MY opinion, but it's the opinion on which I most rely.

There was another thread asking if the juice you made was better than pre-mixed vendor juice. Hossier said yes.. as do I. In my case, all the juices that I've finalized is better than vendor juice. WHY? Because it tastes exactly as I want it
to taste, and has all the other properties I want in a juice

I hope this isn't taken as my being harsh. It is not meant to be that way. It is, rather, meant as a homage to Hossier.

There's only one juice I'd like to "duplicate",,,,,,,,still working on it LOL,,,,most of what I have made so far is BETTER than what I've found out there,,,,,,,and I'm really new to this,,,,,,that's what's exciting to me,,,,,most of the juices I like are SIMPLE juices anyway,,,,,why NOT make them myself,,,,,,,I know what's in them, I can change whatever I want, at whatever percentage I like,,,,and I figure it can only get better :)

I haven't been doing DIY long, but i have made some pretty good juices and all of this is through hours and hours and hours of research..making mistakes..getting frustrated..trying again and again and finding what works for me.
If i'm trying out new flavors i will make a 3ml sample, put it in a hot water bath, let it steep for a few days and then if it's good enough i know it will be hopefully be awesome (not always though) in a weeks time.
I'm big on bakery/dessert juices and i will say for these only Marshmallow and Vanilla are my best friends right now ;)

I don't experiment a lot, other than whatever I need to do to familiarize myself with the strength of a particular flavor I'm working with. I have 8 or 10 juices I make over and over, because I've fine tuned them to the point that I'm happy with them. Every once in a while, I'll read about a flavor on here that I'm unfamiliar with; so I'll Google it, and see what it is, from a food perspective. For example: I'd never heard of anything called Dulce de Leche, until I was looking through a flavor site one day. So I Googled it, and read about it. So, for me to experiment, test, sample, add this, add that, until I come up with something where I can say "Wow! This stuff tastes exactly like Dulce de Leche" would be futile, since I have no idea what Dulce de Leche is supposed to taste like in the first place. But along the way, if I came up with something that tastes good to me, whether it resembles real Dulce de Leche or not, is good enough for me. It's why I don't try to clone vendor juices. I'd be pretty unsuccessful at trying to replicate Pluid or Boba's Bounty, because I have no idea what they taste like to begin with.

If you like coffee taste in pastry, try TFA Tiramisu but keep it about 5% or so. I know at 15% it tastes like burnt coffee.
Thanks glassmanoak my friends dad loves the Tiramisu but personally i can't tolerate it..it even smells like cr*p!! Doesn't smell or taste like Tiramisu in any way to me!! When i said MMallow and Vanilla are my best friends i should have worded it better-what i meant to say was in every Bakery/Dessert juice i make i add either Vanilla or MMallow to the juice and it REALLY does make a huge difference :D
