Sounds from the statements made in the article that the CDC is looking for any illness that might possibly be related to vaping but has so far actually found nothing. This is not to say that they aren’t going to find anything, merely that they are looking really really hard and ANY CONNECTION AT ALL to any kind of vaping of anything is being investigated. So far there are no results.

Sounds like a desperate and intense search that hasn’t found anything. I personally find their actions a bit heartening. If there is anything at all they are likely to find it. Also they aren’t finding anything.

That’s not how what is happening is being painted by the media, but it is what they seem to be actually saying.

Seems most were vaping some illegal (unmentionable here) stuff they bought on the street
It’s even less than that. It’s ever having vaped at all, cross combined with any lung or chest ailment at all. There is definitely being an assumption being made by article authors that ALL of these things are related, but that is not what the investigators are saying. It’s likely that none of them are.

Thought about this some more. What they may be looking for is people putting things OTHER than eliquid in vapes. How do you physically bar people from putting anything but eliquid in vapes? Make vapes unrefillable. (In practice this cant actually be done, but public opinion is mailable for short periods)
This could possibly be about making refillable vapes illegal. They couldn’t do it with pipes or tobacco because they were around for too long. They might be able to do it with e-cigarettes though, and the fact that the juice in prefilled pods is 100 times more expensive than RBAs and can be made only by some companies who will then become wildly wealthy is merely “coincidental”.

Oh, many can CLAIM.... few will succeed.

Many may be WRITTEN about as the first, mysterious death from vaping, in the never ending news cycle, but only one man can be the first.

@dripster 's as good a candidate as any in my eyes yeah.

I rather (also) cynically believe the claim that the Gafia (government mafia) placed said cartridges stratiegiclally around places and watched users die for the sake of future closed pod systems.

It would be far from the first unlucky group of Gafia victims out there since the dawn of time.

Sometimes I wonder if they leave it up to random chance, or if there's some sort of lottery system and if the latter, can I PLEASE get off?

Even my Creator would struggle to match the power and might of the Gafia.

I mean... Most things don't scare me a BIT but any mention of the Gafia sends a shiver down my spine.

Oh well, I plan to come out swinging with my fiery sword of Arc..... Oh... wait. Dang. Power's out. No clue where the sword is in the house all I have is a maglight flashlight.

HELPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

What's really maddening to me is that we are demonized and dehumanized for doing exactly what they so long have insisted we should do, i.e. quit smoking. That they know there's no relationship to smoking is sheer madness and truly evil. You'd have to be as insane as the perp's to call this government. If they don't tell us the truth about vaping, where does it end?

I've received no better a political education in my life than what I've derived as a vaper.

Good luck. :)

Here’s a link to an article in NBCnews, and at a glance, it’s not good for us (what they write and how they write it). Also, there’s are links to other NBC articles in there: I haven’t clicked them, but it seems they’re on a campaign about ‘vaping related lung disease’ or something. Not good..
