What do you do when this happens

Maybe you're in a smoking session area. Do you notice how the cigarette smokers try to stay away from us. Do cigarette smokers see us as a threat? They waived the vape away like it's bothering them. What do you do when somebody waves your vape as if it's bothering them,

This pisses me off sometime how about you

I try to extend the same courtesy to them as I do non-smokers. I try not to let my vapor invade their space. I also expect the same courtesy in return from smokers and their smoke! I have friends who smoke and would convert to vaping but they cough like crazy when trying it. They have even sometimes coughed just on second hand vapor. That’s why I am the way I am with my vapor trail.

I ignore them but if it got bad I'd say - Give me a break, you hypocrite. You don't like it when a nonsmoker does that to you.

Never noticed this with smokers. My parents don't let me vape inside their home when I pay them a visit. Some people don't like it I guess.

I’m never just standing in a smoking area with strangers. I guess I’d just ignore them though.

I vape around smokers I know. Their smoke doesn’t bother me, and my vape doesn’t bother them.

But I did recently have two separate instances of vaping outdoors where a smoker saw me and immediately hid behind something. It was as if they thought I’d spied them and meant to convert them lol.

Maybe its the huge cloud thing that scares them....
I'm still trying to get used to seeing that in the street, or coming out a car at the traffic light...
That to me, don't do the vaping image much good.

I agree. Who the heck wants a pleasant smelling vape around themselves or their home!

Ok, I get it. It's still new to most of the world and they are wary of it and simply don't know how to make conversation about it. The uptight people think that we're looking for attention and shun us.

Certainly doesn't help things having mostly negative coverage by the media for years. Doesn't help that people think that we're doing drugs also.

I would probably laugh and say something like, 'So you would rather inhale 7000 known chemicals in that cigarette than to educate yourselves on what I am using?' And just shake my head.

What your witnessing is the false truths of vaping the governments and other fly-by-night organizations who began to spread a few years back when vaping was just the small wave making the tidal wave it has become today.
I still get from random people telling me that my hitter can explode, vaping is bad for you......I then show or tell them that 2016 Slilverado we drive around in now...brand new off the lot with cig money saved with vaping(diplomatic middle finger). Vaping cost my wife and I less than 15 bucks a month.
Those false truths from days gone by that gave the public that vaping was bad.....lots to read about how the cig companies own some US states cause of payouts not to get sued and plenty more on the FDA trying and still trying to ban vaping in the US.
You'll always run into them but some just don't know so a quick education changes their mind and others.....don't waste the time, their mind is set with the false.

The media and politicians have a lot of quiet financial support. After all, we are taking a lot of profits and tax money away from the tobacco companies and government via lost tax revenues.

To me, the big clouds just exacerbates the animosity towards Vapers.

I'm not a cloud person, but I still couldn't care less for their hipocracy.

I usually blow my vape their direction but not directly in their face,so they know how much better i smell then they do

I try to be as respectful with my vapor as I was with my smoke, but I usually ignore them unless they want to push the issue.

I believe all will change in our favour in the longer run. Its hard for them all to ignore the evidence that is gathering.
Most important is, its up to us to win them over....I'm talking the ordinary people, as well as the big institutions out there. Prove through our actions that we all have a good and better thing going here...not only for us, but for them as well .
All except BT and its allies ofcourse...but if we work towards winning the masses over...we won the battle...!!!

I go to England twice a year on a job. In Buenos Aires is hard to spot other vapers, so most of the time I don't run into anybody. The first time I was in England I saw many people vaping indoors at a party. So I asked the host if I could vape, and he was glad I asked. It's a matter of conciousness. They know vaping is the better alternative and encourage you to do it.

Oh boy, things have surely changed. "Back in the day" people used to kind of look surprised and say -- that smells nice -- and even ask to "get a plume" so they could smell it and guess the flavor.

I've never had a smoker wave the mist away -- but I've certainly had non-smokers do so. But I've also had the same person later mention not to worry about it, it smells nice.
