Program/Setup/op CNC machines, mostly mills, all Haas shop. Spent 10yrs as an auto mechanic, dyed in the wool rotorhead; old school Mazdas.

Hey hey, another rotor guy - I'm more mid-school than old school, FCs mostly.

EDIT: Just saw your other post, an RX-2? That's rad...I had a buddy that swapped a 12A into a Datsun 510, that thing was a beast.

I love those little "coffee grinders." Actually got to do some porting at Tri-Point, can't wait to see if I've still got the skills.

Great thread. So many interesting jobs. Here's another one: I'm an improviser. Yup, I get paid to make stuff up.

Currently the Artistic Director (and actor and coach) at BATS Improv in San Francisco. We do theatre...without a script. The company is in their 27th year and I started as a student there when I was 17...I"m 33 now. Give me a hollar if you're in SF and want a good laugh.

Also, I can vape in the office and have a killer view of the Golden Gate from my desk...there is a similar view from our cafe as well.

China
Used to be in the Canadian Armed Forces (3 RCHA Sigs). Then a heavy equipment operator at a pulp mill in the Kootenays, After that, a machinist, until a soft tissue injury forced me out. Now I teach university English in Changchun, China. Been doing this job for 10 years. Will be coming home to Canada in a couple of years, and trying to find a NEW job. Not looking forward to that at all, but will need one to bring my wife to Canada.
