Wife was a bit suspicious at first, and rightfully so. The gum didn't work, and Chantix didn't work. Blu gave me a hint of the potential with these devices, but it ultimately didn't work for me either.
I got serious, did a little research, ordered a Halo Triton, and I haven't had (or even wanted) an analog since my first vapemail.
I ordered a Triton starter kit for my brother three weeks ago. He had his last analog two weeks ago.
These results speak for themselves.
When I first began vaping, she mentioned that I seemed to be vaping more than I used to smoke. I said "Even if I had to hit this thing every 5 seconds, which I don't, it would still be much better than smoking."
I think skepticism is natural when encountering something new like vaping. It kinda sorta looks like smoke, and smokers seem satisfied with it. "So what's the catch?" Other than purchasing equipment and ingredients, I've yet to find one.
She occasionally questions "Why so many flavors?". I usually answer with "Because they're available, and my taste buds are back. Because I can craft my DIY e-liquid exactly how I like it. Because I like sharing my creations with my guinea pigs friends and relatives. Because I'm no longer limited to one disgusting flavor."
She understands Vapor != Smoke. I explained there is no risk from second-hand vapor. She likes how I don't stink and my cough is gone. Best of all, though, is that she's been impressed by the large, strong and supportive online vaping community that she didn't know existed until I showed her.
A few days ago, she asked me to order another Triton starter kit for a dear family friend who is a pack-a-day smoker. I'm expecting it in the mail today (Yay vapemail! Even for someone else!!!) My wife promised that I'll show her how to use it. I've got an assortment of e-liquids mixed for her. It was my wife's idea to help our friend out. So she's on-board 100% now.
