From the time I was 14 (now 40) I've been working as a carpenter. When framing I'm the one to work the top plate(usually 3 1/2 inch wide and 20 -40 feet in the air) and I love it. On one of my first few jobs I was on a temporary scafold(30 feet in the air, or so) nailed on to the side of the frame. It collaped while I was on it nailing the last bit of siding, while the rest of the crew watched. As it started to go I lept from the scafolding and with my free hand grabbed at a roof rafter and swung myself up to safty without missing a beat or dropping the nailgun in my other hand and then finished the nailing from the roof. The crew named me "spidermonkey". It's has been my nickname ever since... My old boss from that crew still comments about it every time we bump into eachother, lol.
