I have a handful of online names that I have been using for many many years but this one is taken from my Dog.
We have a couple of dogs and the youngest one we rescued. He was born in the shelter. My 3 year old daughter named him "Snickers" (She's never even had a snickers candybar) but the name stuck. I call him Snicks. And I didn't want to use any of my normal handles here so I chose his name.

We all have our faults,,jk. From a former Islander & Yankee & Met fan. Was a Yankee fan when I lived in Cleveland & also became a Met fan as their first year was the same year I moved to LI.
Mine is simply my favorite song by my favorite band. When I wanted to use it on a music forum long ago, it was taken so I added my house number to the end. The " i " in "gimmie" was on the original album Let It Bleed and the song is also been referred to as Gimme Shelter.
I like the version with the i . One last thing, I'm such a Rolling Stones geek that I have two "tongue" clocks in my man cave, both perpetually set to 7:35 in reference to that time mentioned in one of their songs. A gold star to whomever knows what song that is.

Problem is, Rowdy is usually taken, so I added 'mon' one evening in the days when I was younger and less concerned about what happens when you take a whiz quiz (Think Jamaican and Marley) and it just stuck.
Thus...'Rowdymon'

My forum tag and nickname in real life is CadAlack, that what they call me where i skydive. My gamertag is MyblackCadalack.. i started using blackCadalack first, at the time i was driving a 99 deville concourse and My first name is Alack. (sounds like alec) People were starting to call me Cadillac after i got the car, and washed/waxed it more than anything.. I went to change my xbox gamertag to MyBlackCadillac, i had some thinking to do and came up with MyblackCadalack!!!!!
My name came from what I smoked -- Black & Mild cigars (blacks) and slang for cigarettes (jacks).

One day while puttering about online I wanted to do something at a particular site but didn't have enough accumulated "karma" to accomplish the task. I mumbled 'darn karma' to myself and a username was born.
Back in my younger days I would bike message on my days off to make party money for the night, had friends who were messengers full time, and so would ride with them in the morning, grab a radio, and run messages. Got paid cash and was done by 3 or so. Would go shower and bar hop the rest of the night.
My only real possession at the time (and really through most of my early 20's) was my $600 mountain bike IbocPro by Mongoose. This was in the late 80's and early 90's so at the time it was really expensive but I love that bike and still have it.
Granted I cringe at the thought of riding in traffic now and am very thankful that I was never seriously hurt, many minor spills and only one hospital trip (lost a good sized chunk of meat out of my right arm to a truck bed hook). Ahhhh, good times.
