What e-cig did everyone start with and what are you using now?

I was thinking about getting a starter kit way back in 2008 or 2009, I can't remember. The costs were pretty high, so I never bothered. One day I got a Groupon for the V2cigs starter kit. I looked it up online and the regular price at that time was $79.99. The groupon was for only $24 including shipping. I thought WTH, I get a charger, an automatic battery, a manual battery, 10 cartomizers (2 diferent flavors) for just $24.

I vaped that for about a month, even ordered some of their Sahara liquid and some more cartomizers. After I used them all up, I looked to alternatives for better vapor and the rest is history.

I will say that those little V2cigs disn't work that bad at all. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to try vaping.

About a year ago I started with a 510T setup, but then moved to just plain old cartomizers as I was constantly getting a burnt taste when using the tank setup. As you can see, I have very few posts for a year old account, and I sort of fell of the vaping wagon.

I'm back on it now though and have been using a eco twist on 510 cartomizers for the last month or so. I gave some stardusts a try, but the pull was way too hard, so I'm back on the carto's.

That being said, I have an order on the way for a provari mini (blue), three Vivi Nova's and I somehow managed to get one of the 10 Zatty Pro's that my supplier is getting in a week.

I ran out of patience trying to sort through stuff on the internet and decided that I would rather pay too much for something initially and get on with trying to reduce my 2+ pack a day cigarette habit. I got some overpriced Green Smoke cig-alikes and some extra pre-filled cartomizers.

I was shocked that the Green Smoke stuff actually worked reasonably well and that I preferred all the three flavors I ordered to cigarettes. Even though my expectation was only to be able to cut down I was able to easily quit from my first vape.

I never had any intention of staying with ridiculously priced pre-filled Green Smoke cartomizers so when adventuring on the internet again I found ECF and all the wonderfully helpful information available here. Within a week I had ordered my Ego Twists, Viva Nova tanks and started ordering a few juices.

I couldn't be more happy with my Twists and Vivi Novas but I'm still keeping my Green Smoke batteries well-occupied as well. I keep a second flavor loaded to wake up my palate when it goes to sleep from vaping one flavor too long. I also still like to fidget with the Green Smoke cig-alikes in my hand from time to time although I'm doing it less. They also go out and about with me because I don't want my e-cig to mistaken for drug paraphernalia.

The Twists and Vivi Novas have worked out so well that figuring out what mod I want has taken a big back seat to chasing down more juices I really like.

I started off with an ego c 650 passthrough battery and a vision clearomizer I had to learn how to use it on this forum as my son in law sent it to me with no instructions Ha! So I purchased two more ego passthrough batteries and 5 more clearomizers and many flavors and strengths and theres no looking back now :) It has totally changed my life and the future looks brighter now. IM just soooo thankful I found this forum so I could find out what to do. Have a great day fellow Vapers!

2 years ago when I started I didn't know what I was doing. I knew I wanted something slim so I got the 901 with atomizers. Those were so frustrating and I went through a ton of them. I then moved to a Titan (510 thread) and vaped on those for about a year and then found cartomizers that went with them that were so much better then the atomizer experience (and had to fill less often). Recently (within the last 3 weeks) I moved to an Ego-T 650 and purchased clearomizers for them. I now bought my first ViVi Nova Mini and while I haven't filled it yet (don't know what flavor I want to commit a tank to) I am looking forward to filling that. I already know that my next battery will be a VV something or other. More research is needed.

This is a learning curve but I am really happy with what I have now (finally) and I have converted so many people to this alternate method of nicotine introduction including my BF ... no more stinky clothes!

I answered and e-cig ad on the weather channel website out of curiousity. Had not intended to quit smoking at all. $5.95 for a 510 cigalike and 5 pre-filled 24mg cardos. (did not know it was a 510 or what that even meant. 3 days later, the pack of cigs I had when my kit arrived was still sitting there. After stumbling on to ecf, I finally figured out that I had a 510 and ordered some boge cartos and some juice. Now, approx 3 months later, I have 4 ego twists, 1 regular vivi nova, 1 mini vivi nova, a bunch of vision clearos, a bunch of boge cartos and enough juice to last 3 -4 months. I still give in to an anolog once in a while.(I have a bad craving sometimes when I get home from work.) Maybe 3 -5 cigs a week. Much better than the 1 1/2 - 2 pad I was smoking. I started at 36 mg and am now at 18 mg. Would like to get down to 12 mg on my next order but not sure yet... ;-)~

I started with v2cigs 808's, like a lot of people, and found out soon enough the batteries just don't last.

Currently, ego twist and penelope rebuildable atty. Looking for a mod now.

The beauty of vv is, you have many more carto options. With vv you can dial in your voltage to match what you want your vape to be like.

I started with an Ego-T kit. Upgraded to the Ego-C w/1000mAh twist after a couple of months.
I tried the "stardust" (older polycarbonate version) clearomizer but that only lasted a few days. They didn't wick well with some higher VG juices and made my juice taste like plastic. I got The Mini Vivi Nova 2.5 which has worked well for me. I've considered a Provari but I like to change flavors a lot, so I now have four twist bats and six Mini VN's. I still use my Ego-C for testing new juices until they graduate to a mini.

I started with BluCigs when they first hit the scene and thought they were great. They got banned in Canada after about 7 months and I was pretty bummed out. I went back to regular smokes after about a month... now that Nicotine is available in Canada again, I'm looking to get a Lava Tube / Large style e-cig where you can mix your own juices!
