What ever happened with that woman that was given a cleaning fee for vaping in her hotel room?

Does anyone remember this? A maid said she smelled smoke in the hallway and the woman admitted to vaping in the room so they tacked an additional fee onto her bill. She was originally just going to accept it, but she posted here a time or two and people convinced her to fight it. She posted that she was going to contest it with her credit card company. I never heard anymore about it. Anybody know what happened?

I think she paid and is trying to argue the payment with the hotel on technicalities

The answer to that is the Hotel has told me, and you can see from the hard copy letter that the $250 is for doing something I admitted to doing, using an electronic cigarette, so there would be nothing to dispute other than the term "smoking" and that is something I have to solve with Marriott.

I'd be interested in hearing an update. But she sure sounded like she was just going to pay.

I find it hard to get very concerned about people who don't care about themselves. Telling them "No, I wasn't smoking and I'm not going to pay" and making a phone call to her credit card company was too much trouble. She would rather pay the $250. That makes it hard for me to worry about her.
