No, mAh does not indicate actual vaping time, it's only an estimate, merely a rule of thumb. Several factors determine the actual time including, but not limited to, length of draw, OHM resistance of the head one is using, amount of watts the device is producing, age of battery, etc.

With the mAh, is the timelines people mention actual vaping times ? Thinking that when I go out for a vape it would be five to ten minutes, so doing this ten times during an eight to ten hour workday would only be 100 minutes of vaping, right ? Or are the battery times the amount of time between charges regardless of use ? Probably a dumb question just want to be sure.
Thanks,
Chris

I like variable voltage settings in case I decide to change the head and want a different OHM. It gives me the ability to dial in the amount of vapor I like best. With a regular non- adjustabe battery, you get what you get.

Interesting read for newbies - I love this forum!

Is the spinner a better choice because of the voltage setting even if you're going to always use say a vivi Nova tank? At that point you'll always stay on the same setting making the different setting not necessary - right?

For roughly the same cost the vv option seems like a no brainer to me. The $50 kit I started with will be fine in a pinch but hoping the spinner and new set up will help get me off analogs which is the primary goal.

Now just need to find a good deal and order all the pieces and wait for delivery. Really excited to see how this plays out.

I used the spinner 1300mah from about 7pm one night til 7pm the next night on the first charge. Used a vivi nova with the 2.4 head at 4-4.2v. The vivi's seem to do better with moderate voltage. Some people change voltage depending on if using a clearo or carto and some juices taste better at diff volts, just have to find what you prefer.

I've been vaping off and on since 2009. Sometimes I'd vape and sometimes I'd smoke cigarettes. About three months ago, I bought two things and haven't had a real cigarette since. The first is a eGo Twist (almost identical to the Spinner you're considering), and the second is the Mini Vivi Nova. The two together offer a fantastic vaping experience.

The Mini Vivi Nova looks great on an eGo style battery, produces tons of vapor (I vape mostly 50/50 pg/vg), has a full, clean flavor, is easy as hell to clean and maintain, and I've yet to have one leak -- and I currently have 12 of them constantly filled with juice as I like to change juices often. Some people claim the Nova's mute flavors. In my experience, they do mute flavor vs. dripping on an atty, but not terribly so. I'd say there's maybe, maybe, a 10% reduction in flavor with the Nova's as opposed to dripping, but the way they perform and their convenience more than makes up for it. I've got heads in my Nova's that are over a month old and still going like champs. A lot of people rebuild Nova heads, but I haven't done so. I'm happy with the way the stock heads perform, and at around four bucks, I'd rather just buy heads as opposed to rebuilding. I've tried Stardust clearo's as well but didn't like them nearly as much as the Nova's. I've tried all three Nova heads. For me, the 1.8ohm head at 3.6v is my sweet spot.

My Twists are 650mah. I generally start the day with two fully charged batteries. I vape one when I'm getting ready in the morning and during my 20 minute commute to work. I take three breaks at work, one 20 minute and two 10 minute breaks, and I vape pretty heavily during those. I use the same battery on my way home and usually for an hour or so once I'm home. At that point, the battery isn't dead but I usually throw it on the charger and grab a second battery. I use the second battery for the rest of the night. That one never dies either, but I charge it while I sleep anyway so it's full in the morning. I have no idea how much actual vape time I get from the 650's but I do know that two are enough to last me all day. I also don't know how much juice I vape in a day since I sometimes literally vape 12 different juices from 12 different Nova's which makes it kind of hard to measure. If I had to guess, I'd say around 3ml.

For juice, I'd highly recommend either Heather's Heavenly Vapes or Ahlusion, especially Ahlusion. Most people who try these two never look back. Take a peek at the HHV and Ahlusion threads on here and you'll see what I mean.

A Twist or Spinner with a Mini Vivi and some HHV or Ahlusion juice, and you just can't go wrong. I'm sure others would disagree but I personally think that's about as good as it gets. Hope this helps you.

Yet another question, are these pretty user friendly ? Vision Nova Tank Clearomizer V3 Mega

Decided that I'm going to get some stuff for my wife too and introduce her to vaping, and I know that I need to keep it as easy as possible to avoid her getting frustrated and/or annoyed.

Still getting a bit used to all the lingo and every time I think I have the tank/atty/cartos terminology down I start looking at products on the vendors websites and quickly realize I don't know what the heck I'm looking at !!

Thanks,

Chris

Stealth vaping is best done with a short PV. I stealth vaped for a long time with short eGo batteries and a standard atomizer and cart. No one really noticed as long as I blew the vapor downward.

Now, I carry the Provari with a carto on the end. Some people notice, but it's not something anyone challenges. If a waitress comes over and asks about it, they are usually interested in how I'm "smoking" without creating a stench. I explain vaping, give them a card from my wallet, and they are happy. Most are tired of smoking outside on their breaks, anyway. Actually, the larger PV just attracts attention and stimulates interest, which is good for the effort. More people learn about it and no one cares if I vape inside because it doesn't create a stench like tobacco.

Yes, they're a good choice, but I'd go with the Mini Vivi unless you just want the tank size. You will have to learn how to clean the head, but it's not difficult.

not to muck up the works here but smokeless image has good gear too. Their volts and 2x batts combined with the clearos and nanos are doing the job for me. I did get some cartomizers too but I prefer the other delivery items. I can taste the rubber on the cartos which ruins any other flavor that I'm working with.. though I imagine with a drip tip that would not be a problem anymore.

Here is a video showing the care and cleaning of the vivi nova. It can't get much easier. The heads are rebuild able or replaceable if you want to go that route. The heads are around 2.50 for long wicks and mine have gone for as long as 2 months. Very cost efficient over the long run.

My wife wants nothing to do with the Novas, either size. She likes the colored rebuildable CE4/5/6/etc. Its all about looks for the wife, colored battery=matching juice device, Novas too manly... hahahahahaha, oh, and matching drip tip if she can find one.

If she wants color, try one of these. Neptune 3.5ml ViVi Nova Tank, Purple

I have been using one and it is great, and flashy. They have other colors...

It sounds like an excellent start to me!

Pretty psyched, just placed my orders. A couple of spinner batts (1300 and 650), two mini novas, a charger kit, and a few bottles of juice and a sample pack from HHV.

Am I missing anything or do I have everything I need to get started ?

Thanks for all the help.

Chris
