I don't consider myself advanced but I do think of myself as experienced. When I 1st started vaping back in 2011 there was not a lot of information or equipment to be found. I did my own research and learned about every new piece of equipment that came out.
It is much easier to vape nowadays with You Tube videos and forums such as ECF where people who have done the research are happy to share their knowledge with others.
The word Noob designates someone with less experience, I don't find it derogatory at all, hopefully it helps some of the more experienced vapors guide a new vapor to using equipment that is suitable for them. I was a noob once and proud of it, proud that I had quit smoking. It is just a name the same as advanced vapor, it does not mean that someone is stupid or an idiot and advanced vapor does not mean someone is a rocket scientist and will give great advice, it just means more experience.
I don't care what anyone calls me Noob, Rube or Turd, just don't call me late to dinner:drool:

Well how hard was it to light a cig, because that is the only skill needed to be a smoker

I've seen smokers set Beards, mustaches hair and Hats on fire just attempting to light a Cigarette. Cars, Beds and Homes ablaze.

And you are only an idiot that doesn't know Ohm's law IF you are using a mech mod and don't know Ohm's law.

This, we need to stop saying.
One does not need to know Ohms law to have any particular degree of intelligence.

As I've gotten older, keeping numbers in my head has become difficult. None the less I still have skills like looking up needed information for safe building.
I still remember how to bookmark important pages and Save Reference charts.

Not to step on any Advanced Vapers.................

I think the overall bank of available knowledge has grown hugely. I'm pretty sure the cartos I used to buy were labelled 'high' and 'low' at 3 and 2 ohms respectively. I'm also pretty sure I assumed that the 'high' were going to be better. They weren't.

Now, I expect that people who use coils at above 2 ohms must be a tiny percentage. When I first heard about this crazy fad called 'sub ohming', I was pretty certain it was not going to be for me. Now I usually build at about 0.6 (now very high for some, I know), but I definitely didn't see that coming.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) sub ohming has lost its rock n roll cachet now that you can get cheap sub ohm starter kits. (Rather like the rock n roll of Little Richard and Chuck Berry losing it's cachet once Showaddywaddy and Shakin' Stevens got in on the act).*

*Apologies to my friends across the pond if you do not understand these particular British cultural references. Trust me, it is not your loss.
