Not sure about all these flavours. I just want a tobacco taste. I am new to all this "vaping" stuff but am wondering why someone would want to inhale or smoke a "fruit" taste (for example). This is not a criticism. Just wondering what the overall motivation is?

Because in the end, tobacco tastes terrible. The only reason people want it is to replicate cigarettes. If you can get over that, the taste of fruit, or cola, or chocolate is way better than the taste of a burning dried up leaf.

I had the exact same question, and I still prefer a tobacco taste. Fortunately there are a lot of good ones out there, plus you can order leaf tobacco and DIY if you're so inclined. I thought I would like coffee flavors - I don't. I associate coffee with drinking, not vaping. Just doesn't seem right. As an herbalist I'm real aware of artificial flavors and scents and can sense the difference immediately - that's one reason that I haven't found any fruit or sweet flavors that I like. They all taste fake to me, so I'm looking into steeping/extracting my own herbal essences and going the DIY route. I've been blending both cig and pipe tobacco flavors, sometimes with a little vanilla.

One flavor that surprised me was vanilla - I like it, both as a standalone and blended with other flavors. Recently I added a couple drops of Watkins imitation orange extract to the carto I normally keep filled with vanilla juice. At first I liked it, but then the harshness of the synthetic flavor came through. I'm going to try distilling or tincturing actual orange peels and see what I get.

This is all the crazy ox-droppings stuff you get into when you get a real enthusiasm for vaping. I'm actually pretty new also. There are two vaping shops in my town, and one of them has a really talented juicemeister. I've been buying most of my juice from him and doing a little blending at home. His French Vanilla is very authentic, but unfortunately he doesn't have a latakia. The other store sells brand-name juices, and so far at least, I hate them all. They also only let you try samples one day a week. The other guy lets you sample everything he makes.

For now, I am enjoying tobacco taste and still not smoking. Life is good, and so is tobacco. It was a sacred herb to the Native Americans for a reason.
