My biggest question in all of this is the "tightness in the chest" and respiratory problems. Why have no other BMF users (that I've read mention of) experienced this? If we're all vaping plastic all day, why hasn't anyone brought up this issue? I'm personally very sensitive in respiratory matters. I'm allergic to cats and dogs, and get upper-respiratory infections at least every couple years. I haven't had an issue since vaping with BMF stuff, and in fact feel a lot better without analogs.

Looking very closely at the images, I see the burnt sections. It looks like the coil passes through the silicone and melts it at that point. This should be a concern, as we really don't want to be inhaling that.

But this image:

What is burnt in this image? I see a black line. Is that shadow, or where the end of the coil comes through the wick? I'd agree that it looks "separated", but isn't that the design? What's wrong in this image?

If that image represents exactly what came out of the cartomizer then where is the rest of the material that holds that inner casing gone? I think that's what the OP was referring to in that picture. The material that is holding that center casing down seems to be missing quit a bit. Although there are chunks stuck to his silicone o-rings.

That line you see definitely looks like char you can tell by the transition from dark to brown.

I still sure would like to see some less zoomed in images of this one.

In relation to the "tightness in the chest", I am an asthmatic. In the 2+ weeks since quitting analogs and full-time vaping I can say, so far, I'm using my inhaler somewhat less. On high nics (24-25) I'll sometimes need to "puff the med", because it's irritated something. Vaping seems to aggrivate my asthma.

BUT, lets put this into perspective! During my smoking years, I would need to med after the majority of single analogs. Pretty often it would have been optimal to med mid-analog, just to FINISH that analog. While smoking, my nights almost always consisted of frequent awakenings to med, just to sleep some more. Essentially, while on analogs, my life was a dancing balance between the cig and the inhaler. And, since a pack of cigs was cheaper than a single inhaler, there were too many occasions where I've been hospitalized by the addict's choice.

I've yet to mistreat a carto as badly as any of the negatives related in this thread. Of course, through MY MONTH OF RESEARCH, I fairly came to the conclusion that MF cartos go to MF batts. I don't own any other products, so I don't face the temptations, that in retrospect, would seem silly. I'm also not in the position that ANY of my cartos are so expendable that I would go to any length to try and disassemble even a single one of them.

Perhaps it's the depth of research I did before I was satisfied with ordering, but in my mind, new ground-up tech shouldn't be expected to mingle with older improvement-lacking tech. It SEEMS like a recipe for disaster. To me.

And while you may argue that the THREAD FITS... there are countless things in this modern world that fit into other things. This does not mean they belong in those other things.

I can appreciate where you are coming from here. Jumping to conclusions helps nothing. I, however, disagree in that the OP was malicious in the way he expressed himself. The wording was used to inflame passions.

You know DeeLeeKay, after reviewing how much back-and-forth it took for you to realize this afternoon that your were incorrect about what you were saying about the OP’s pictures (and then Rift’s pictures), not looking like your cartomizers, it seems to me that once you make up your mind about something, it takes a lot to get you to be open to other possibilities. In light of that, now that you are disagreeing with me about the intentions of the OP, I’m not at all inclined to engage in a debate with you.

IMO you are still jumping to conclusions. After this afternoon’s debate, when frankly, you were stating things with certainty that you really ended up being totally incorrect about, you might consider easing up a bit with that kind of approach.

I wish we could all extend to the OP (actually to everyone) the same kind of patience that Rift extended to you this afternoon.

slim,

You have made it personal.

Sorry, but as far as I am concern the bloog forum for me is off limits. I do not like the people here :(

You insisted, in post after post, that the thing the OP's original images was showing us was the drip tip.

It clearly wasn't the drip tip; his original post never made it seem like it was the drip tip, yet you spent many posts arguing that it was. I can see slim's point.

Ok several people here are new to vaping so I feel it appropriate to mention the tightnes in chest and respiratory probs, can in many cases be led back to the PG. I myself started having sharp pains in my chest when heavily vaping 100% PG. On the VG, no problems... oh and i like the people here.....

I woukld hate to have the threading change(if i ever get to buy more batts) because the Soft capped reg Kanger carts go perfect on the MF batt..

This afternoon I honestly didn't know what many were talking about, and kept up with y'all until I figured it out. Once I found the piece in discussion, I immediately said so.

While this was going on I was ask to clarify what I was thinking. In hind sight(is it 20/20) I think I was being baited(fool me once).

I thanked the person who helped me and made an apology to the OP, but the baiting is still continuing. I have no interest in people who do this kind of thing.

I still can't see how my unused carto is different then the OP picture in question, and how the conclusion was drawn that melted plastic was inhaled. I truly want to know the truth here. I have recommended bloog's to several close friends and do not want to be a party to them suffering irreparable damage as a result of faulty equipment.

Call me blind, stupid, or whatever, but I care about people's health and want to get to the truth.

DeeLeeKay, I'm truly sorry you feel this way. I don't think anybody meant to bait you. Please stop and consider that what your asking for is them same thing we were trying to ensure that the original poster recieved, and that was to be heard.
I'm sorry if this upsets anyone but, I sometimes think that we don't want there to be any problems with vaping so we tend to become blind to issues when they come up. I think it's important to approach things with an open mind and allow people to be heard. I hope you will decide to stick around, more voices gives more ideas which is almost always a positive thing.

I have never liked cartos. And this is why....Everything about a carto is going to cause us vapors nothing but problems.(FDA)

You cant cram all that into such a small space with heat and not have melting..burning..etc.

Iam in NO way tring to "bait". All Im saying is if you look at a carto, really look at what its made of and how it is intended to work...its simple to see all the "wrong" in them.

Get yourselves some attys and a drip tip...in my modest opinion it is the safest way. No filler to melt and no carcinogenic plastic to inhale.

Again...just an opinion.

The problem though is that I am being held to a different standard then the OP is. This is where my problem is coming from. As we all know some tend to jump to conclusions, and then review the facts. I am as guilty as others and several demanded I apologize for it. Which I have. Is my observations not as valid as others? It appears that they are not according to at least one poster. It is for this reason I feel that I am not wanted here. I do not force myself on others.

That's fine for hanging around the house, sitting at the PC, etc. But isn't convenient at all. I'm not dragging a bottle of juice around with me to work, while driving, while shopping, waiting at the airport, etc. I need something I can just reach in my purse or pocket and used now, put back, grab again later and use now.

The fact that this technology is in its infancy does concern me. I feel a bit like a guinea pig. Hopefully there will be great strides made in improving them and their safety in the coming years, and we can have them manufactured here, and be able to walk into the corner store to buy stuff without being at the mercy of China & the FDA.
