You have no idea what the temperature is without a regulated mod with temp sensing wire. The temp of a coil will vary pretty widely even during a single puff. Even pulsing a dry coil at 10W will take it well above 600F. It doesn't take long for these coils to get very hot.

    Oh .................... OK ... pfft

    Company truck for now.

Once I go O/O, I won't be coming back either.

I like the idea of saying go eff yourself to some of these ridiculous practices. Either you want your freight or you don't. It'll get there when I can legally get there and 30 minutes later, if I'm not unloading, you can come pick it up where I get my next load.

Lol, sounds like my Sister. She went owner operator because the company she drove for told her she couldn't take her dog anymore. She doesn't have a dwelling, she lives on the road.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with them -- I have a Sigelei Zmax that goes to 15w and only has one button, and until I got all these box mods, it was my all day every day vape... now I use it mostly for dry-burning coils. But the Sigelei was only $36... it's almost a year and a half old, and works just as well as the first day I got it.

But Kiss...? Nah, I won't say they suck, because they obviously know a thing or two about marketing, but I've never cared for their music.

Saginaw County... I guess that would be more in Flint territory? Went there once... nice town! I recently looked up Lake Orion on google maps, and was positively astonished to find that Rustic Cabins is still there... :D We lived there for quite a few months, before marriage and getting babyfied and needing a bigger place for all the baby gear. :D

Oh, there's plenty of people that don't like KISS or their music and think they suck. I'm saying I never heard anyone (except that one guy) leave a concert of theirs and said it sucked.

Saginaw is about 30 miles north of Flint. If you think Flint is a nice town... well, I'm speechless. I think you are just being nice. REAL nice!

Lease purchase? Or bought her own truck?

I have to say, being an animal lover and a guy who'll jump into another truck when mine's down, I'm torn on the animal thing.

If it's your truck, have at it. But if it's my truck, no way... don't even think about it.

Every time I go into one of the trucks of one of the guys who bring their pet along, I nearly throw up. I won't drive them in the winter. I won't be able to hold it down with the windows closed.

Maybe it's just the guys who work for this company, but damn!

I love my Zombie, it was my first "good" mod, bought it from the classies here. I also have a Disrupter, an iStick 40wTC and several subtanks. Somedays, all I want is the security of that big heavy ProVari in my hands with a high nic juice. Somedays I just need a few puffs off another mod. Would I recommend a Provari to someone who is trying to quit smoking, YES. Would I recommend a subtank and high wattage mod to the same person, NO.

    Cheers on the Zombie!

Heres mine, with matching custom blown glass drip tip.....and yes the tank says Brains!

Your coils get hotter than you might think, even at low power. Of course, if your wicks are perfectly saturated at all times (wont happen in a tank) and the volume of your draw is the same at all times (wont happen), then I suppose one could get the "perfect vape." Otherwise, your coils will get too hot -- or at least hotter than they need to be.

And the temperature of the vape is not dependent on watts alone. I can throw 100 watts at a coil and be vaping at a lower temp than a guy putting 20 watts to a different coil of a different diameter, etc.

My wick is wet al all times. I like a warm, moist, juicy vape at 6-8 watts...

She purchased it used from the company she drove for and has sunk about the same amount of money for repairs as what she paid for it. If you can afford to do it, go brand new, brother.

I want pre - emissions frame off resto, personally.

But yeah... company had the same issue with my truck. Bought it with only 400k miles on it and has nearly rebuilt the whole thing already just over a year later.

Even with in house mechanics, they've still spent probably twice what they paid for it in repairs.

Just the top half engine rebuild cost them $16,000.

ETA; Owner thought he was teaching the drivers a lesson by buying used. He's been buying new lately. [emoji38]

Not only that, but you have to consider things like health insurance, taking out your own income tax and what got her was forgetting she had to put in her own Social Security taxes. But yeah, after being bit by being her own boss, she won't go back...

Based on a few of the comments, I have to ask.....is it possible, just possible, that there is a middle ground between using a Provari (or any other lower wattage device), and being a cloud chaser?

I actually think that's where I fall in. My builds are usually in the .7-1.0 ohm range I occasionally use a 1.2-1.6 ohm, and occasionally use a .3-.4 ohm. But %90 of the time I am in the .7-1.0 ohm range. Looking at the setups I have filled, and using while typing this, I have a 1.1 ohm running at 19 watts on my Vamo, and a rebuilt Subtank head running at .77 ohms running at 23 watts on my Cloupor Mini. I typed this before checking. It's not quite tootie puffer, not a cloud chasing setup, but a nice medium.

As far as my opinions on the Provari... Since I can remember, they were a 15 watt device. When they first came out, that was a good number, and one that was sought after. It was the regulated version of a cloud machine. back then, it was either a 15 watt device, or a mechanical. Since then, I've seen Evolv come out with their DNA 20, then the DNA 30.... Provari kept at 15w. Then Yihi started coming in the market, and they produced a 30w... eventually going all the way up to 200W... and Provari still was at 15 watt. I think Provari "rested on their laurels" throughout this whole situation, and it has decided to bite them in the long run. Sigeli has come out with rock solid devices in the 100w box mods, and have made a reputation for producing a top notch device. Devices in the 15w range have gotten even cheaper, and to the point where they've become disposable to a point... they break, buy another one... and you'll still end up coming out cheaper. It's become moreso with the Istick products.

I think they need to up their game. They may produce a high quality item, and have high quality customer service, but money is what talks, and I think they're loosing more of the market share. I think recently, they've moved from one of the premier vapes, to a niche in the vape industry... which is a niche in itself. I've seen more people vaping MVPs than I have Provari's. My vape range is over 15w, so to me, a Provari isn't even thought of when I think of getting a new device. It's over priced and under powered. The P3... their latest.. can barely handle a subtank, and NOT handle anything below .5 ohms. That rules out some of the newer tanks that are coming out.

For tootie puffers, the form factor isn't that good... no EGO threads. It's a big sized mod for such small vapor nowdays. My Vamo V3 is still working.. I passed it along to someone else. I replaced it with a Vamo V7... 40 watt. Stainless steel, multiple battery size, tube format, stainless steel threads and spring loaded center pin, and 1/5th the price. The other $160 will go towards my son: Cubscout dues, uniform, Tent, cots, fishing license, and memories that will last me for the rest of my life and his. It's a no brainer for me.

    And ifta
    And freight insurance
    And truck insurance
    And liability, death and dismemberment
    And tires
    And maintenance
    And fuel
    And tolls

    Fuel can be $400 - $600 a day alone

Tires can set you back $6,000

A $6 toll can cost a truck upwards of $50. The George Washington bridge is $100 to cross.

And fines for trucks can start at $1,500 in Cali.

A simple parking ticket (where a car wouldn't even get one) is going to run you $500. And we can't park nearly anywhere...

Dude, when she was company, her TAKE HOME (net) was over $1,000 a week. Now, sure she's MAKING (grossing) a lot more but like we have both ascertained, it's a bottomless pit of expenses. BUT... she can visit when and for as long as she wants to.

I really tried to like Kiss, because of their cool disguises... just never could warm up to them. Later I did get into some harder rock (love AC/DC, and Ozzy!), but the Kiss regime was pretty much over by then.

I've heard a lot of bad things about Flint, and I expected some industrial wasteland... but I had lived in downriver Detroit, seen Ecorse  ... Flint looked pretty good compared to that. :D It was a beautiful day in June, I had a new baby I was showing off to some friends... my only complaint was that fretting-crying baby noise. :D Fortunately he grew out of that. ;)

    Yep.

If i don't net $1,000 on a bad week I'm out by the end of the month.

We put up with a lot of crap and have to keep everybody on the roads alive despite themselves.

It's a lot of responsibility for the measly pay.
