Stockpile? I think the thing that should be on the top of everyone's list is a freezer. You can get a mini freezer by Haier - same size as a cube dorm refrigerator - for under 200 bucks. (Check Target online.) You can get much larger 5 cu ft ones for the same price - but if space is at a premium the mini freezer is your option.

Needless to say the second thing on the list is filling that freezer with nicotine and that's the only thing I really need to stock up on. (Bought the freezer last year.) If you don't have nicotine all the hardware in the world is kinda pointless. And if there are no successful legal challenges to the regs (we'll see) you can most likely kiss your 100 mg/ml bulk nic orders goodbye.

I'm not concerned about buying up flavorings because I can get by on unflavored just fine. I'll get some favorites, but not enough that I have to lose a closet over it either.

I'm good on hardware since my main use is Reo mechanicals with rda's. (I have at least a dozen Reo's at this point - I lost count.) Everything is metal, next to nothing that can break there. I'll get some spare maintenance parts. At least with a Reo you can actually get spare maintenance parts.

I'm not putting money into electronic gear. Almost none of if it is built to last a year if you are lucky. Or less if you drop it. Or drop it in the toilet. Or... But a Reo can survive just about anything.

Not stockpiling batteries. From what I have read the resting shelf life is only about three years for lithium chemistry stuff and then they start to lose capacity anyway. And I cannot see how the FDA could reach that far to be able to regulate stock 18650 etc. unmodified batteries as part of a "tobacco product."

Bunch of wire. Bunch of wick. I'm good. :2c:

Stockpiling wire for coils, cotton for wicks, USP glycerin, no-nicotine PG liquid and 18500 / 18650 batteries is a complete waste of time ... The FDA will never be able to regulate these items.

Very good info thanks!

I'm not going crazy, but I am prepping a little:

New iStick Pico 75w w/Melo III (keeping my iStick 30 as backup)
New bottle of 60 mg Nic juice (enough for a year or more)
New roll of Kanthal wire
New pack of ... cotton
New Ceramic tweezers
New assortment of flavorings
New Melo heads plus ECR head
New batch of NR-R-NR wires
New (2x) LG 18650 batteries
-----------------------------------
Still have my Kamry K101 mech mod
Still have a DIY 14500 mod
Still have various ego-style batteries for parts (connector, mainly)
Still have a few Evod tanks with heads to rebuild
Still have a mini-dripper
Still have mini Erl clone
Still have Air GS-MS clone with extra heads to rebuild
-----------------------------------
Eyeballing a Kayfun Mini V3 to add to the collection.
Not worried about PG and VG (farm supply for PG and WalMart for VG)

If you want your nic to stay cold and undisturbed get a top opening freezer.
A front opening one will let the cold flow out every time you open it.
They're about the same price.

True, but that's the entire point of my cube mini freezer - nothing but nic will ever being going in it or coming out of it. Won't be getting opened often and once that nic hits sub-freezing temps I can't see the door being opened for even 30 seconds at a time having any impact.

The other point was if space is at a premium a cube freezer you have enough room for is better than nothing at all. Big difference in space requirements for a 1.5 cu ft front door mini and a 5.5 cu ft top door.

Whatever fits - I just want people to be aware there is a small freezer option even apartment dwellers can work with.

Also - If that sucker is PACKED with nicotine then there's hardly any air to flow out :)

While the 1.0 and 1.1 Freezers were cute, I realized that all the nic I had stashed in the other freezers in the house (and what I have on the way) would not fit so 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 were the next size options.

I opted for 2.1 front opening as I ought to hold +10yrs of bottled 100mg nicotine. I did ensure that it was 'true 0' capable and given that it will be stored UNDER a desk - front opening was the best way to go in my book.

It should be here tomorrow. Hopefully I don't have buyers remorse on not getting a larger one.
