I need a good dependable back up. I just got my Vamo a few weeks ago and love it. I have a pen style, but it just doesn't much do it for me since being introduced to the Vamo. I started out with an Oval Elipse and while it was an okay unit, it sure wasn't very sturdy. What's a good device that is affordable that will satisfy me if something happens to my Vamo?

Honestly the Vamo is very reliable as it is and typically is used as a backup to more expensive PV's. I would get another Vamo as backup :p. But you can't go wrong with a joyetech eGo-Twist. VV and gives me good vapor on the atomizers I use. I have Cisco 306 1.5ohm dripping attys, ProTank, and Vivi Nova so far and with the twist I get the same vapor with the Vamo.

I first started out with a ego ctwist, then I picked up a smoktech zmax, now I'm waiting for my sigelei #20 + trident clone that I got for 40$ preorder sale to come in the mail, my ctwist is my backup if my battery dies or something happens, I been using my zmax waiting for my mechanical to come, the thing I like about mechanical is the fact that there are no electronics inside the device, you can literally drop it in water, let it dry off and put a battery in it and it will still work lol.

Definitely a twist or something similar would be a good option to go for a backup.
I use regular ego batteries as backups. One with a vivi, one with an iclear 16, and one with an MT3, all different flavors. These devices attached still produce pretty good vapor and flavor even without being VV, and they're small and discrete. good for in the office, or if I'm out doing stuff around town.

I have to agree with madesorgo and say get another Vamo. I have plans to buy a ProVari at some point in the near future and will be using my Vamo as my backup. But if I didn't have my sights already set on a ProVari I would def go for another Vamo. I would get the SS version this time though. I have the chrome and it is wearing poorly.

I've been considering just getting another Vamo. Lol. I kinda have my sights set on a ProVari as well. Maybe I'll just save up and make the Vamo backup like suggested.

I'd definitely go with as on the Vamo. I got stainless and my husband got the gunmetal and while mine is sporting a few scratches under it's wrap, the husband's gunmetal is already losing it's finish.

I would say another vamo, I haven't got a 2nd back up, but I have a Ego VV pass, and a couple mechs. My girlfriend has an ego vv as well that's been through a ton of drops and being sat on, etc. It works great still given it's current condition. Like DJ said are great choices as well. It's a preference thing.
