I don't blame you for being confused because of the mis labeling joye has done with the 510-t and the ego-t. The t stands for tank, but where it gets confusing is that they aren't tanks, they're just fancy over hyped cartridges with no filler to hold the liquid. The old three piece cartridge, atomizer, and battery design is how the first e-cigs were made. It's been pretty much universally replaced with better options, except for Joye and attempt to modify it slightly and bring it back as the whatever-t. I don't like them personally, think it's just an over all bad design that varies between giving bad dry hits and leaking all over, but some people swear by them.

Thanks for that Travomiser!

Sorry, have unloaded the US Dictionary. Will refresh the brain with coffee and reload incorrect spelling shortly.

Am glad to know that I am still 4 at heart. Unfortunately, that means the wrinkles I see in the mirror make no sense.

I'd say 1994 as there are Japanese cars on the road. However that does not explain my stepson's friend's obsession with Twilight and not Buffy and we all know that Buffy is better.

My Australian cousins are lovely folk. We 'Downunder' appreciate an elegant trolling/bunyip-ing/taniwha-ing.

Love to All

:vapor:

Spent a week in Perth once and loved it. Aussies are such great folk. If things get much worse here in the states and I decide it's time to go, I'll be looking for a place to stay down under mate!

Good luck with that. I suggest you get cracking on meeting a nice Aussie girl, unless you have one very large pot of cash.
God, I remember looking at Australian real estate listings in the 70's when I considered moving there. You could get land for little more than the price of improvements and move there with $100 in your pocket. In 2005, you needed a half million of liquid assets. I was hoping I could apply for political refugee status.

Exactly. That's what I've been trying to get across. They're a feeble attempt to resurrect an obsolete system and create something to distinguish the Joye Ego from all the other Egos and the 510 from all the other 510's out there. They also create a captive market for their special tanks and atomizers. If you notice, most of the people who swear by them haven't been using them for very long and/or have little experience with other devices.

When I was there last, the ratio was like 6 or 7 to 1 females to males. I'm thinking (hoping) it hasn't changed all that much. :D

    in a cave, eh?
Well, good luck with your 510-T. I don't have that particular system, but if you weren't aware, Joye atomizers are usually shipped with machine oil. You want to hold a paper towel over the open end and blow any primer out through the battery connection end into the paper towel. Then you want to drop e-liquid directly into your atomizer to prime it. Three drops in a 510-T will probably do it. Then you can fill the tank (aka cartridge) and snap it into the atomizer.

As a number of people have already suggested, you might be interested in trying regular 510 cartomizers instead of the tank/atomizer that came with your system. I've heard good things about the 510 tanks (even though tanks tend to mute the flavour, they tend to run through juice faster and the larger tanks can leak), however, so you may have some luck with them yet.

Don't worry about clearomizers and fluxomisers or even carto tanks until you're ready to purchase a bigger model. Also, you don't even want to look at low-resistance atomizers/cartomizers/etc. until you get a bigger model.

If you ever get into dripping, an 801 atomizer, 801 drip tip and a 510-801 stealth adapter should work well with your 510 / 510-T batteries. Or you can just figure out a drip setup with a new kit. If you stick with vaping, you'll probably find yourself upgrading your kit at some point.

Anyway, good luck figuring out your kit.

Sorry to revive this a bit.... Didn't think people would keep responding xD

So that's what the ....ty taste was????
I thought that was in the cartridge.... $#^@....
That's probably worse for me than smoking cigarettes haha

Why do LR need bigger batteries?
I got some SR Boge cartomisers as someone mentioned to get.
Do these need bigger batteries too?
They seem to be good for about a week or two then they just go to ..... Like, barely any vapour.
Seems like such a waste.... is it the battery or do they just not last long?
Are there any that do last longer?

I've heard about this. Sounds like the only non "omizer" type of vaping, I may give it a shot
I want to upgrade already I think. Apart from the burning from both Boge cartos and the 510 tank things, the waste of metal etc. is ridiculous. Totally Wicked has a new.... cartomizer? (bah I dunno, one of those things) where you can just replace the wick part instead of the entire thing. I'll probably get that unless anyone can recommend one which just lasts for ages?

Funny, as I was reading the replies I thought to myself "Actually I liked the Joye better than the Boge ones" haha.
Mainly coz I could see when it was running out. But these Boge ones also leak everywhere if you even slightly over fill it. And the liquid gets in the hole you're supposed to inhale vapour through.

I have a 510 T with the plastic tanks. I don't use them much (I use fluxes on it instead) but I would always drip a drop or two of the juice I was using on the atty before putting the "tank" on and then once the tank was on, I'd spin it around a couple of times to make sure the hole in the bottom was properly open on the atty. I like the 510 T to carry around in my pocket while I'm cleaning or doing laundry, but I always noticed the strong plastic taste from the tanks. Sometimes the amount of pull I had to use to get vapor made my tongue sore after awhile. Once I put a flux on there, the problem went away. They sell silicone end caps to put on the tanks in place of the hard plastic ends, but when I tried those, I got a horrible taste, so I never really used them. I did have one hard plastic end cap break completely off and stick to the atty when I pulled off the tank. Luckily, there wasn't much juice left in the tank or it would have been a mess.

I do use my 510 T all the time with a drip tip to try new flavors to see if I like them before I fill a flux, boge, or stardust with them.

Hi Tommy and welcome to ECF, you can use LR cartomizers or clearomizers on your current battery, they work very well and much better than the tank system it comes with, I use a ego-T myself tho not the tanks best thing I ever did with it was switch from their tank system to carts, tho I am wanting to try the clearomizers (just waiting on them to arrive).

Low resistance atties/cartos are not a good idea on a bat that is less than about 400mAh. This is simply because of the lack of ability of the small bat to produce the amperage necessary. (bet you didn't figure you would have to go to electronics school either)
A carto only costs about the same as 4-5 cigarettes. A weeks use out of one seems like a pretty good deal to me.
There are so many different products out there that even vendors tend to get kind of creative with names for them all. I keep waiting for someone to name one of them a POS. (it would sell big in some circles)

Yeah I am thinking I should get an Ego with a clearomiser too.

It's not really the cost so much, but just the waste of material. From what I can tell, the wick is the part that breaks?
Everything else is fine but the whole thing gets chucked out.

    (I'm a bit of a hippy) haha

Yeah, me too. It's actually not the wick that breaks, it's the heating coil. You can get atomizers and even a tank with a rebuildable coil. You just buy wire and wick and twist the wire around the wick to make your own coil assembly.

Most rebuildable atomizers are very expensive, but here's one you can rebuild that costs less than $15.
Gotvapes is out of them, but Madvapes has them in stock. They come with 3 heads, but you can rebuild them as well.
There is at least one video on Youtube that shows you how.

BTW, if you don't like wasting material, you shouldn't be vaping with an eGo. An eGo is a sealed, disposable battery. When the battery dies, you throw the whole thing away. Talk about a waste of material. Better to get an e-Power. It uses replaceable batteries and it has more power as well. 3.7V vs the eGos 3.3-3.4V
