I am fairly new to vaping, but what is the best VV mod out there?

I am not really interested in how much bang you can get for your buck, I honestly just want to know which VV mod is the best, regardless of cost.

EDIT: Obviously it's personal preference, but I would still like to know your opinions.

There are several VV mods out there. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Personally I am a Provari user. Just received my 2nd one last week. I did order a lavatube to see how it worked.After using my provari for 6 months the lavatube felt like a toy. I sold it and ordered the 2nd provari. Just do your research and see whats best for your vaping needs and budget.

I've had my ProVari for over a year, and love it. It's dependable, battery lasts a long time, and solidly built. I've dropped it on concrete a few times, and other then minor scratches, it's held up.

That being said, I have found it not the most pocket friendly. If I'm leaving the house, and put a tank on top of my ProVari, it's pretty long in my shirt pocket, and on the heavy side! (I really much prefer carto tanks... dripping it too much of a hassle, and refilling cartos is also a pain) With a tank on top, I'm not going to stick the ProVari in my pants pocket. :blink:

Recently purchased an inexpensive MadVapes VV box mod with Indicator. Works great! Provides the same excellent vap I get from my ProVari, and the two 14500's will last most days. If I know I'm going to be gone from, say, 7am until 9-10pm, I simply carry a spare pair of 14500's with me... they're lightweight, and easy to stick in my pocket.

I've now ordered a more expensive, wood variable voltage device. I've decided that it's just easier to carry around when I'm out and about. Ordered the Gepetto VV, shown in my avatar.

The Gepetto changes voltage much like the ProVari... three presses of the button, you're in voltage up mod. Press once to increase voltage .1v. Also has built in voltage display, and displays remaining battery life, among other features.

Everyone's needs are different, but what's great is the enormous selection of mods now available!

Good luck!

I have to agree that the power regulated, variable wattage Darwin and the Provari are the two top models due to their features and build quality. I prefer the Darwin for a number of reasons but see both being the top two. I like that as a heavy vaper, I get 21+ hours of vaping time on the Darwin and never have to carry an extra battery any longer and that it doubles as a pass-through. I also like that I can use 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers with it which you can't with some models. But most of all, I like the great consistency with it. The last vape before needing to be recharged is just as good as the first one right off the charger. Oh, and I like that I can lay it flat on my desk and it won't roll off, lol.

I would say the Darwin would win hands down but hard to get hold of !! Also take into account that the new "Kick" Module from Evolv is being released this week and should work with lots of PV,s ,there seem to be great expectations for this one !!

Good point. I saw the "Kick" module for the first time this weekend at the Atlanta Vape Meet. They auctioned several off and the money goes to CASAA (please all join and SUPPORT CASAA). It will turn any 18650 PV into a Darwin, basically, with a few minor differences as I understand it.

Darwin makes Atty's/Carto jump better then anything else as far as electronics go, then Provari and Buzz's Chips, with Buzz's probably being the safest electronics out there because of the built in protection circuitry. I run all 3 including the new VV Reo which utilizes Buzz's chip and its a fantastic vape because it is a bottom feeder and holds your juice too.

It all depends what you want to use and how you want to vape, dripping, single Atty dripping, Carto, tank, theres many factors to consider here. All in all having a nice VV unit in my opinion is well worth the money spent to capture the vape you want and any of these 4 will surely provide you a nice daily vape. Me = I'm partial to my new VV Reo and my Darwin, and my new VVProV is in the mail so who knows, either way VV/VW it's all good :2cool:

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Before posting this it was my understanding that Darwin/Provari were one of the top dogs when it comes to vv. I still wanted to get some opinions though. I found a video online that helped me see which one of the 2 I would like.

Provari vs Darwin, Part 1 - YouTube

Provari vs Darwin, Part 2 - YouTube

After watching those I am leaning more towards the provari. Just my style I guess.

@ jtieri
I will take a look at the Saber Touch when I get a chance.

@Shel

I will have to take a look at the MadVapes VV and The Gepetto, I am not sure if I am a big "wood" mod person(although I haven't tried it), I will definitley have to research it.

@arkador

I have checked the buzz pro, and it is definitley a possibility.

All in all I am still leaning towards the provari. I still have alot to research aparnetly, like looking at the VV Reo, VVProV, or even the kick that many of you have mentioned. This is mainly research for the future. I have had a 510 150mAh battery for the past half year, and have only recently ordered a 900mAh lcd VV battery from health cabin(still waiting for it). I know it's not the best vv battery out there, but it is definitley a huge upgrade. I know I am going to want variable voltage, I want to burn all kinds of different ejuive from different cartos, and the only way I can do that is if I have a VV. Sooner or later my vv that I ordered isn't going to be enough, and I am going to want to spend some big money on top vv mod.
