I'm looking for whatever way I can vape as easily as possible. My current mod is and eGo C Upgrade with a totally wicked odyssey tank and a cartomizer. I'm looking for an easily replaceable battery, a 2-3ml tank that's easy to fill and maintain, something on the smaller side that'll fit in my pocket next to my cell phone or in a small holster and no fancy variable anything. Also something durable as it sits in my pocket all day while I'm working construction. Any recommendations?

The requirement of not variable anything combined with removable battery and tiny size do not go well together. Scratch the removable battery and it gets quite easy, though I am loathe to do that because it is imho your best feature choice. Just about any pod mod or AIO would do in this case. The highest rated pod mod of the moment is the lost vape Orion. If you’re willing to scratch the not variable anything requirement it also gets quite easy again. I’d say a nunchukau would be one reasonably priced choice though there are many others.

Mechanical mods in my opinion are perfect for this reason. You have to do your research, work out what you like, find the right build/atomiser etc and maintain them a little in your free time but the result is a simple-to-use vaping set up. I don't think anything else could fully meet your requirements, but as @bombastinator said there are other options if you can forgo one or more of your requirements.

@Violetti Usva is correct. I avoided mentioning them for a good reason though: mechanical mods can be dangerous, and they are not simple. They require a certainty amount of equipment to use and you have to do the maths right or you risk blowing up the battery. Of the horror stories of exploding mods floating about almost all of them are mechanical mods that were misused.

If you're safe, smart, tidy, and pick the right mech, fully understand what you are doing, it's basically a no fuss device. I work as a commercial fisherman, and use mechs exclusively. They are very durable, at least mine is. It's convenient, i press the button and I draw a hit. I don't have to mess with any interface or controls. I set up my tank and coil safely within the parameters of my battery limits. 1.1 ohms on my Erl, it's perfect every time, and by the time I need to switch batteries, it's over the limit of how much you should discharge a cell. It is limiting somewhat because I'm only drawing the watts/amps I've set my coil to, and relative to how much charge I've got. I don't find that a drawback for my setup/style.

It takes homework, making sure you are absolutely safe, knowing what you're doing, and not simple at all, but like @Violetti Usva said, the end result is simple. At least that is my experience.

Might look into a Nautilus mini and istick 30w. You can buy a metal sleeve for the nauti and 30w is near indestructible. You might get a full day on the 30w if you don't chain vape at work but I'd recommend picking up 2 and keep a spare in your lunch box. I've moved on to other devices and gave my uncle the isticks and after 4+ years they are still going strong.

An Aspire CF Mod (pocket-friendly, tube shaped, takes a single 18650 battery, no settings to fuss with, etc.) would be a good one for you, IMO. You can use a huge variety of tanks on it that take factory drop-in coils, too. The mods are inexpensive, too, (especially with some Googling to find the lower prices), so it wouldn't cost much to get 2, so you have a back-up one. The last ones I bought were marked down to less than $10 each.

After quickly checking out 4 websites that carry them in the US...this 1 has by far the lowest price at $14.00 each + S/H. Other places were all $20 and up for the same thing! (I've purchased things from them several times, and they're a good vendor to deal with.) They have only black, and they do have at least 2 in stock right now.

Aspire CF MOD 18650

You'd also need a few 18650 batteries and a charger if you don't already have them. There are several good places to get them, so they're definitely authentic batteries (ie. rtdvapor.com, batterybro.com, illumn.com, imrbatteries.com, liionwholesale.com, orbtronic.com, etc.). I've gotten most of my Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh batteries from lightningvapes.com when they have their sales. They're authentic and at a really great price then. Their S/H for 6 was less than $5.00, too! They also carry chargers. You can use the coupon code LV15 though, at any time on their website...to get 15% off your total order.

Mechs really do require a RDA / RTA to operate in a reliably safe manner. Me, I wouldn't use a tank that took drop in coils on a mech. And I'm not sure if the build yourself side of coils will appeal to the OP who wants the simplist setup.

As long as the mech isn't a hybrid type, tanks aren't an issue. Now that is speaking to a correctly made mech not something just slapped together. I used to run Atlantis (v1 and v2) on Infected, Kylin (Pisces), Atom and many other mech mods.

I still don't think a mech is the answer though. Really a they are simple only in construction not use. Personally a Tesla 2 or Tesla Invader III would be the simplest thing and safe(ish) but does not completely fit into the requirements.

The best bet sounds like a pod system, then something like a small single 18650 Cloupor or Smok (can't remember what it's called). While they are both variable, they are simple to use and not feature packed.

Agree. I've ordered from all except BatteryBro and received great service from all. I just shop prices and sales and pull the trigger. The Lightning Vapes coupon code is something I didn't know about. Thanks for that info.

You're welcome for the code info.
Lightning Vapes sales are really great and their batteries are authentic, too. During the last sale, which was 50% off many things earlier this month, I got 6 Samsung 25-R batteries for $3.21 each and an Efest LUC V4 Battery Charger for just $13.50. Can't use the LV15 code on top of those really great sale deals, but at those prices...I didn't care!

Since I'm in middle Georgia Lightning Vapes is a quick and handy vendor. USPS up I-75 right into my city. Quick delivery.

I was going to suggest the Ephro Armor 101 tube as well! It would be a lot safer than an unprotected mech for daily use and it has gotten good reviews. I would get one if I were not so severely NOT in need of another tube mod, but it looks really nice.

You could get a dicodes tube, although that's not really budget friendly at all.

IDK you are looking for something "simple" and then giving a fairly "complicated" set of requirements. There are really almost no small, tubelike mods with External batteries that are ALSO fixed wattage, and I'm fairly certain you could learn to use wattage mode, it really is rather extremely simple.

As far a small tanks, for an RTA: the doggystyle, it's 3.5 ml capacity I think but just extremely unthirsty.

I guess for smaller tanks otherwise (I'm assuming you want MTL) the Nautilus 2 I guess, although I wouldn't consider that the simplest tank of all time to use, one of the 2 ml capacity ego ones from Joytech (you need the 1.0 CLR coil though) flavor is actually better than the larger ones, or I guess you could get the 3 ml version of the innoken Zenith which I believe would fit your requirements and it is a nice, easy topfill.

I guess if fixed wattage there are the Innoken T series, T-18. 20, 22. Many folks who get those tend to really like them, they are small, they are fixed wattage but with an internal battery.

Any chance you want to reevaluate?

I started vaping 5.5+ years ago with mech tube mods. At first with recommended cheap China gear that were soon replaced with far better then on to those that I considered were the best of the best. So I'll add that using a mech safely is not rocket science (ohms law is K-4 math). If you don't want to build your own coils the safety issues mentioned with mechs can be avoided by using tanks that use factory coil heads and rechargable/exchangeable batteries that can easily handle the load of the chosen coil heads. With the gear you have I assume you are a tootle puffer vaping higher ohm builds (above 1 ohm, or higher sub ohm), so a 18650, 20700 or 21700 tube mod with your choice of tank would probably last you all day at work. If not its easy enough to carry a spare charged battery, a refill juice bottle for the tank, extra coil head (AND the mod itself if wanted) in something like a VapeSox in your pocket, on your belt or stashed in a lunch box. The skies the limit on mech tube mods in features and cost... and in tanks as well in liquid capacity and different coil systems.

I stopped using my highest quality/last bought mech tube mods in Aug 2014 when I switched to Reo mech squonk mods.

VapourArt GP PAPS X's, TiX, V3's, 2.1, Piccolo, Herons, Spheroids, SnP's (Greece) & Hybrid Senio Drippers (Poland).

Small footprint, exchangable battery and large tank.. that's hard. Oh wait, it's not:
iKonn Total with ELLO - Eleaf electronic cigarette
- fits in the palm of your hand
- unregulated, no fragile screen or buttons, has safety features and caps at 50w max
- exchangable 18650 battery
- 5.5ml tank which is protected by a metal front plate, easily refillable without taking off/unscrewing anything.
- tank is compatible with baby beast type coils (=40+ different coils from different manufacturers)

That EPHRO Armor looks close to what I might want. One website says it's semi-unregulated? Shouldn't a mod like this have some simple circuitry to regulate voltage at 3.7V, the standard for the battery? I misspoke in my OP. I don't want the buttons to change voltage/wattage but I do want a constant voltage like the eGo's have. If this requires extra buttons then so be it. I'm not so concerned about buttons, more in keeping size down and minimizing the risk of buttons being pressed in my pocket.

Is there anything similar to this but smaller that only fits around an 18650 size battery? Although the mods I've seen with 18650 batteries still seem pretty substantial. Is 23ish millimeters pretty standard for an 18650 mod?

I think I might have to change things up and go with a iKonn Total with ELLO - Eleaf electronic cigarette. These things are just getting too fat and tall. Probably stick my cell phone in a back pocket so the ikonn can have a front pocket to itself.

Happen to look at the ohms on those coils? They are much lower than cartos and usually prefer much higher voltage.
That mod is a side by side and is a good choice for your line of work. There are others that are open on the side for your choice of tanks.
There aren't many choices nowadays for low power as there is for much higher.

There are pod mods that are draw activated, no buttons. Worth looking into maybe.
