An atomiser can last anything from a week or so to a few months. A lot will depend on how you treat it - ie not letting it get too dry.

You might find it better (& cheaper) to use cartomisers instead. They actually last a shorter time than atomisers but the Boge cartomisers, for instance, are so cheap that it's not a problem.

I haven't ever heard it referred to as an eGo jet but, I think he's referring to a jaunty jet. I haven't heard that one in a while either but, the jaunty jet is an eGo-T. It's been so long since I quit using the tanks that I'm sure my input there is useless but, hopefully someone that has more recent experience can chime in.
I have had atomizers last me anywhere from .2 seconds to going on 11 months. I will say that generally, dealing with reputable vendors, you get more if you pay more, but I've had cheap attys last me half a year and expensive ones die in seconds as well. Atomizer life is a crap shoot.
If you want cheap, long lasting atomizers I have a few magma addys from volcanoecigs and they are a yea and a half old and still going strong
If I'm lucky I'll get a few weeks out of an atty. I prefer Cisco's but I've had a few crap out on me prematurely.
Still, when you factor in what they cost versus commercial analogs it's still a much cheaper way to go.
Has anyone ever experienced an atty suddenly begin to sizzle and smoke? I've had that happen to me a few times, once with a Hello 016, and the battery never recovered.

Although some people swear by them, I have had terrible results from Vapor Kings. My tendency is to order in bulk because without an atty you are screwed. The last batch from them was pathetic. I use LR 306 and LR 510's on my Reo's and HR 510's on my ProVari and Buzz Pro.
In the space of a few hours, I burned out 4 brand new LR on my Reo's. The others lasted only days. The HR's were no better.
I always prime my attys.
I took a gamble and ordered from Greenhouseone (smoktek's) a bulk order of atty's in various forms and resistances. At $3 each and free shipping over $99 during a special sale, I did not expect much. VK's in bulk are $5 plus shipping.
However, these GH1's vape like champs and vape forever. I have been running one for two months now. I gave a box of 5 to a friend, and he raves about them as well.
Odd, past atty's from China direct were terrible. Go figure!
Atty's are unpredictable, and it could be that I got a very bad batch of atty's from VK and an outstanding batch from GH1.
Ask me in a year about the performance of the GH1's. I burned through 30 VK's in less than 6 weeks. Just dawned on me: I am at the two year mark of being smoke free in a few days!

As I said before, it can be pretty random. I have 2 working vapor kings atties that see pretty regular use and are 11+ months old.
