Already thought about that, DC. That's why I called him and people like him cowards.
I am going to attempt to summarize this thread in one sentence before it gets closed...
I'm 6'5" and this guy never would have done this to me.
Think about that for awhile.
Its seems more and more common that I notice people speaking up/getting offended by things they have no knowledge of, not just vaping.
I know I haven't an issue angrily confronting big burly truck driver men with my 5' 3" body and vagina.
Just as I was exhaling he strode quickly up on me, went into a fake coughing fit and angrily said "Don't blow that **** in MY face!"
It's getting so I'm afraid to vape in public anymore...
BTW: Why didn't anyone from the vape booth step up to the plate? I'd think they'd be concerned about their sales? This "guy" was harassing a customer, or possible customer. As the Booth owner, I would have notified security.
BTW - Not to play the Devil's Advocate
But could it have been that the Old Dude in the booth had had a long day of less respectful vaper's blowing clouds and he finally cracked?
Where were all the men at the vape booth, if the lady in question were threatened and intimidated? Were they too busy blowing clouds?
I don't agree with most of you, sorry, I just don't.
I don't think we should be vaping in public anywhere where you can't smoke. I think it will lead to a ban in the end if you keep walking around blowing huge clouds in public and offering to 'educate' people. Have you any idea how arrogant that sounds? Look if people want to find out about vaping they will - the same way we all did.
Some of you sound like you walk around with a pre-prepared speech about the virtues of vaping, armed with a list of website addresses and blowing vapour in the hope that someone will be impressed by it just so you can unleash this tirade upon them.
If we want vaping to be accepted by the masses, rather than banned I think we need to be slightly more discrete in public and act like smokers until proven otherwise, e.g. stick to smoking areas at work and everywhere else. I only openly vape at home or in my car. I think for now that's the way to go.
I'd hate to turn into a vaping bore, "Hey honey who did you invite to the dinner party tonight?", "Oh crap not him, he'll bore everyone stupid about vaping and how fking awesome it is".![]()
I've decided if someone comes up to me and starts raising cane about my ecig I am going to start passionately babbling in Russian.
Unfortunately all I have learned so far is swear words, lol
What flea market? Flea Masters? You have some real A $ $ clowns in that part of Florida.
I agree Vaslovik had a difficult time in her original story, if i'd been there I would have leapt to her defence as we all would.
and then you can comment again how it is people vaping in public (in the open air, of all places (!), as in the example the OP told) who are responsible for the nasty behavior of othersRampant Antismoking Signifies Grave Danger presents an examination of the antismoking mentality in greater, multidimensional context.
That is a canard. Vaping bans happen because the ANTZ push for them.if you make it happen with bad behaviour.
Where do those people live? In the mountains, away from any civilization? No cars, no pollution?nonsmokers right to breathe clean fresh air

I've tried to convey the idea to people here that we don't make a public nuisance of ourselves because I believe it will damage our chances of winning public opinion. When there's a crucial vote about vaping, it would be great if most of the people present had never had a bad experience with the vaping community.
Vape in public if you want, but be respectful of nonsmokers and their personal space, if we don't all want to be forced into the shadows with the smokers then the time to act responsibly is now. I don't need a law to tell me that there are certain situations I shouldn't vape - but there will soon be such a law if there is a need for one, if you make it happen with bad behaviour.
Out in public you're an ambassador for vaping, if you don't respect a nonsmokers right to breathe clean fresh air you'll do more damage to the cause than good. If you want to be seen fine, let people come over and ask you about it, but keep a polite distance from others. We don't need a law for that, a law for common sense and good manners.
Some of you sound like you'd quite happily vape your way around the asthma ward of your local hospital, simply because it hasn't been banned yet.
