What made you decide to switch to an e cig?

Cost of cigarettes was getting stupid. Thats why I switched.

Found out my son had asthma, and the smell of smoke on my clothing was a "trigger". Stopped smoking then and there, and vaping helped make that possible.

Something about the way she said it changed me. My wife had been telling me this for years, but I never really listen to her anyways. lol

Tongue Cancer.

About 6 weeks ago I had a spot removed from my tongue. Yup- cancer. Luckily it was caught early and they removed it all in the biopsy surgery, so now it's just a lot of monitoring. But that was some heavy-duty motivation LOL.

I was more worried about my animal's health than I was mine. Silly, I know, but they are my babies and I didn't want them to continue to be subjected to 2nd hand smoke. Plus I hated smelling like smoke ALL the time. It was embarrassing!

I used a prescription drug to quit and got the Blu starter kit to help with the really bad cravings. I wasn't crazy about the battery life so I started doing some research and, low and behold, I found this wonderful world of vapeing. I feel am am over regular cigs and now I am just enjoying my new hobby.

i had the Blu cause you could get the refills any and everywhere. but they didnt help me quit i still smoked and vaped and i agree with you the life on them was horrible

Mainly for the health benefits and the fact that I am gonna be a 2nd year nursing student and here in Michigan, hospitals only hire nicotine free nurses. Plus I want to practice what I preach when telling my patients that they shouldn't smoke. Now I can be a good example.

i smoked for 25 years, quit a million times. a friend turned me on to ecigs, i gave it a try and found it wasnt so bad, definitely doable. however i went back and forth for a while, till i finally said to myself youve been trying to get off these things for so long, now you have a halfway viable option, might as well make the effort to switch completely. found this place, learned about better equipment & flavors, and now i dont wanna ever go back to stinkys!

I ran out of cigarettes. I can't drive. It was easier to get electronic cigarettes shipped to me. I also wanted to quit. I figured that when I didn't smoke for a week (like it or not) I should do everything I could to keep it up. Now I like vaping so much more.

I was tired of all of the reasons listed by others. Having some folks I know deal with COPD and other smoking related issues and generally just feeling and smelling like crap I was done. I just need a distraction to move on so I picked up one of those disposables and a did a little research and here I am. Now down to 6mg and after finding the equipment I like I am enjoying the experience and the ability to still have a cold beer and a puff with out the social / medical issues attached to smoking cigarettes.

I've never known anyone who vaped but somehow ran across it on the internet years ago. I researched it off and on for several years, including this forum, but I was always so confused about what to buy I never pulled the trigger. Finally, for no reason, I stopped in at the local B&M shop at lunch one day. The girl who waited on me explained everything to me and sold me an eGo starter kit. I got everything charged up and started vaping the next day. I tried a couple of analogs a week later and it tasted awful to me, then another a week after that tasted even worse, so I threw away about 3 packs and never looked back.
