Hated the smell of analogs and the toxins that were going into my body as well as the money per pack. I actually enjoy smoking so being able to vape and have some of the enjoyment while getting rid of a lot of the negative was enough for me. I heard thru the grapevine that a friend of mine quit smoking on an E-Cigarette so my inquisitive mind started doing a lot of research.

That led me here and it was a post someone here I read about the Joye 510 and that is what led me to buy that. I am sooo glad i did come here as i almost bought SmokeXxxxxx. ARGH!

I'm a long time smoker and I've tried to quit in so many different ways that I can't even count. I've tried the patch, gum, Zyban and cold turkey. The longest I was able to quit was 8 months. I was really tired of everything around me, including me, smelling like an ashtray. I was tired of ashes everywhere, and burn marks and holes in my car upholstery and furniture. I was tired of coughing and running out of breath after just one flight of stairs and I knew smoking was ruining my singing voice.

I saw a coworker vaping outside during one of our breaks and asked him about it. He actually let me brought in one of his e-cigs for me to try and I was impressed. So, after doing some online research, here I am. My boyfriend and I got our e-cigs today and I'm already in love with it!

Haha. I know exactly what you mean. I always wanna vape during the truth commercials. Lol. Basically, I can save money by vaping, the health benefits look very promising (not to say that it's for sure), it completely satisfies my nicotine habit (whereas gum that I've tried failed miserably), and I love being able to vape inside. Definitely a plus at school when it's raining to not have to walk through two parking lots just to get my fix :)

I was very worried about my health, 18 years old - smoked 2-3 packs a day since I was 15.
I wanted to be able to enjoy smoking but it just was not happening as every time I lit up I thought of what its doing to me and there was nothing that could change those thoughts as long as I continued to smoke, I quit to dip tobacco then got off that cold turkey as I couldnt stand checking my mouth daily for any unusual sores, So I went off that cold turkey which lasted for a few months but unfortunately I started to smoke again. Not long after I seen an ad for E cigs online and was very excited about them, I watched alot of videos on youtube and the thought of being able to have an experience similar to smoking with out all the tar etc... was brilliant. I'll never look back.

one of my friends got a Volcano Magma and i thought it was the dumbest thing ever at first. after trying it and looking into them a bit i decided to give it a try. after 15 years of smoking i've now made it over a month without one.

i have had a few drags here and there just to reinforce the fact that cigarettes are nasty. i have zero desire to go back to them now.

health was also a motivator for me as well. i could tell that smoking was not good for me and feel much, much better now that i've quit. i've even started exercising which is something i've never done before. i'm in my early 30's and have realized it's time to start taking care of myself. after years of smoking, eating horribly and alcohol abuse it's time to get my ... in gear.

I was sick of having to stay away from everyone (I live with non-smokers) after having a cigarette. I was sick of my car smelling, me smelling, my friends' cars smelling. The convenience, the choices of flavors, and most of all, fixing my lungs. I'm a asthmatic, and the smoking was really bad for me. I love waking up and being able breathe in the morning.

There were so many reasons... Me smelling bad, my car smelling bad, my house smelling bad, sick of cleaning up ashes from when I missed the ashtray... lol! The biggest reason had to be my kids. They hated me smoking cigarettes. I was constantly hearing about how bad they were, how they didn't like the smell... not to mention the law in Arkansas that says I can't smoke if my under 6 year old child is in the car... (*sigh*)

Since I started vaping, I don't worry about the kids breathing bad stuff, and they think it's pretty cool that I'm trying to do something that will be better for them. Plus, I smell like mint now. It's just so much better!!!

I got tired of the government punishing those who like nicotine by raising the taxes on a pack every yr. Without the taxes on tobacco a pack would probably cost $1.50. Think about it for a minute. You pay more for the tax than the product and that isn't right. They do it to alcohol too. They call it a sin tax, I call it an addiction tax. The gov. is no different than your local street corner pusher. They both charge people outrageous prices for addictive substances. The only difference is the pusher gets money from his own product and the gov. get it's money from someone elses product. We need taxes yes but why make smokers and drinkers pay more than anyone else?

For me, it was a combination of things. I haven't been smoking all that long, only since about '05. Real cigs are too expensive for me to keep buying a pack every couple of days(I know, that's nothing... I can only imagine buying 2 or 3 a day. Thankfully it never got to that point), I'm sick of coughing up phlegm, smelling like an ashtray all the time, catching hell for it from my parents(my mom freaks out anytime she smells smoke), and while I can certainly tolerate them, they REALLY don't taste too good. I enjoy the actual act of smoking, and I enjoy the feeling I get from smoking. So I decided to try vaping when I actually had some extra money to buy the equipment. I found out it's a lot cheaper especially if I buy my own juices(which I was a bit reluctant to do at first, thinking it would be more complicated than it seemed, but it isn't). I don't plan on quitting the act of smoking anytime soon, so I figured if I can spend less money on it but still get the same result minus all the crap it's doing to my health, why not ? I'd been thinking about e-cigs for quite some time now, just never took it off the back burner until I got a bunch of extra money. I'm really glad I decided to try it cuz these juices are incredible. It's like smoking candy.

I don't remember when I first heard of Vaping, but I've been researching it for a few months. After watching reading so many people's success with ecigs I was really confident that it would work for me. I smoked for 5 years I started when I was 16 and it was so hard to stop. I couldn't go a day without smoking a cigarette. I wanted to quit i tried gum, patches, and even that prescription chantix. Every time i tried I always ended up smoking along with whatever i tried nothing could replace that smoke in my lungs lol. I couldn't do anything when i woke up without smoking that first cig. If I ran out I'd get nervous and I'd have to get more right away, even if it was 3 in the morning. When i didn't have cash for them i would rummage for change anywhere i could find it, or even search through ashtrays for butts that had just a little bit left to smoke. Yea i know it was gross. I couldn't smoke in my house cause my dad had quit a few years ago and couldn't stand the smell. It would bother him even if i was outside and too close to the door or windows. That really sucked in the winter time. I got yelled at so many times when i tried to smoke in the bathroom or out the window and it still ended up smelling like smoke. He got really mad one time and kicked me out of the house for a couple of weeks. I was smoking just about two packs a day and spending a lot of money. I knew i needed to quit while i was still young, and i was sick of wheezing and coughing all the time. After a lot of research last week I ordered a 510 starter kit and some juice. Everything cost me about as much as a carton of smokes would have. I was so anxious that I looked up the tracking info everyday and woke up early friday morning and went to the post office before the mail man got there so i didn't have to wait till he delivered it later in the day. I love my e-cig. I haven't bought a pack of smokes since. I can vape in my house now and without my dad getting ....... It doesn't bother him at all we were fixing my moms car yesterday and i didn't have to walk away to smoke, the vapor was right in front of him and he didn't care one bit. I feel great i am already starting to smell and taste everything better. Im starting to breathe better not feeling congested. Ive tried smoking a cig a couple times and i could only take a couple drags and had to stop, they taste and smell disgusting now. No more yellow fingers or clothes that smell like an ashtray. I am defiantly going to stick with it ill save a bunch of money. Im gonna try to get as many of my friends and family members who are smokers to try it. Thanks to everyone on the e-cig-forums for all the help and info. Vaping has changed my life i never thought i would stop smoking so easily.

I've quit so many times in the past 5 years, after smoking for 30 years. I really don't like the cigs anymore, but can't seem to stay quit.

I heard of the ecigs several months ago and looked around a bit, but it didn't really interest me. Then, last night I found a thread on another board talking about them. I got interested reading about everyone that got one and never picked up another analog. Hey, awesome, this could work... I've got to say though that the thing that really sealed my decision was finding out about chocolate juice

So now I'm anxiously waiting delivery and already have a list of flavors I want to try. This is SO NOT going to save me any money! ;>

Hola, everyone. Allow myself to introduce, myself.

I had been smoking for over 13 some years until a couple of weeks ago. I saw an ad for an e-cig on a World of Warcraft site I go to to in order to get up to date info on all that is WoW. Yes, I am a Warcraft junkie.....Anyways, I went to the company's site and thought I would give it a try, especially since I could "feel" the effects of years of smoking increasingly more and more on my body. Long story short, I fell in love with vaping, and in already two weeks I can feel the difference in my lungs and energy. Needless to say, I found this site after doing a little more research into the world of vaping, and have been gaining more and more knowledge each time I visit. I also found a better e-cig than my initial purchase thanks to the reviews here as well.

So, I'm currently loving the ReVolver Elite w/ med carts and plan to get some juice here soon to keep things flowing smooth.

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to posting more so I /can have the cool signature with the savings and stuff too..lol. In 6 days, I'll already be breaking even with cost versus analogs...it's crazy how many analogs you actually smoke when you see the numbers...lol...Ne ways..cya's around..

I got into vaping for several reasons....

..because of my husband's smoke allergy.
..they taste good, like a hookah.
..they are convenient. I can take a couple puffs, and put it right in my pocket. Try that with a traditional cigarette, I dare you, haha!
..though i found a flavour of Nicorette that was pretty good (cinnamon), it didn't satisfy my fidgety need to hold a cigarette.
..I got tired of having to brush my teeth or chain-pop breath mints.
..cigs made my hands stink.
..they made flavoured cigarettes illegal.
..my lungs were tired.
..I sell vaporizer units at my head-shop job. I love the idea of vaping, but it looks a bit weird to go around vaping tobacco from a "Vapor Genie".
..e-cigs don't drop embers onto my favourite shirt.
..I am not going to give up nicotine, and that's that. Lung cancer seemed like an unhappy affair, so vaping, it is!

The last federal tax pushed me into a corner. I'm not so contrary that I'd smoke myself into homelessness just out of spite, and I'd played what I thought was my last card: cigarettes over the internet from indian reservations. When that loophole was closed, I finally actually looked at one of the slick e-cigarette spam emails I'd been deleting the moment I saw them.

The idea of supplementing analogs with one of those goofy gimmics seemed worth a try. The rest is history, as are analogs.

I hear ya, Chas...I tried quitting a couple of times and it never worked. I loved smoking. I loved the act, the feel, everything about it. That's what made it so hard to quit. Then once I finally got my kit, I threw what cigarettes I had left in the trash and have been vaping ever since. ( Well, actually I let my 4 yr old daughter throw them away..She thought that was great.) Going two weeks strong as of today. I thought I would never see the day when I could finally put down the analogs. I love the fact that I can still get my nic fix and retain all the visual/physical aspects of smoking but w/o all of the negatives that came with it.
Hope your kit gets to ya soon, if you're like me, once you find a good e-cig, you'll never go back to analogs.

Haha, I know how you feel. =) It went from "hmm, this is interesting" to "this is my new hobby!" in a week or two. Now that I'm getting all the kit I want, though, I think I'm going to start saving, unless I use more juice than I could drink, let alone vape.
