I guess im looking for the impossible. . That a reo will satisfy. . That its not a waste or risk of a waste of money...

No one can guarantee that.. but I like what im hearing/seeing.

I can has tapatalked this.

Not much of a risk. They sell very quickly on the classies for good prices. I got two of my four Reos from the classies. I also bought and sold a mini Reo that turned out to be just too small for my large hands.

I am a dual owner as well, I had 3 ProVari's when I bought my 1st Reo. I was fortunate to be able to visit a B&M that carried Reos, and the people that worked there were Reo enthusiasts, maybe even Reonauts. They got me set up, when I got home I built a coil, filled the bottle and wow! I was using ProVari's with kayfun tanks, hard to beat that combination. The Reo is just as good, but so much easier to use. I fill the bottle and I am GTG all day long. Changing flavors is super simple, even if there is still a half full bottle, take it off, cap it up, twist on another, easy peasy. I am now down to one ProVari and have four Reos. One would be sufficient and make me happy, I just seem to have a collector type personality. For the time being I will keep my last ProVari even though I have not used it since I got my 1st Reo up and running. I don't know where in NC you are, I am 2 hours from Chattanooga, Mountain Oak Vapors sells them if you want to see and hold before you buy, I think they have a store in Knoxville as well.

Ive seen the lack in drop of cost on used reos.. and that means a lot to me.. it speaks volumes.. I guess ima have to save up...

Any reo & provari owners that own both willing to offer their opinions?

As I said.. im poor. So if I save up.. ill only be able to grab one...
Its no rush.. im in love w my mvp2. . But we as the human race always want more...

I've had 8 provaris total. 4 at the same time at one point. They are great PV. With this, I carry 4 protank 2s constantly, with a backup of coil heads. It didn't matter if it's a quick run to home depot or all day.

As soon as I got my first reo, I can step out of the house with just my reo. If it's an all day thing, I bring some juice, and batteries.
Here are the changes that the reo has made in my vape lifestyle if I may say.
1. I have a reo grand, so less filling.
2. No more wasting of paper towels as I tend to with my tanks wiping everything off.
3. I rebuild my protank heads, it's tiny. Open deck with RBA is a lot better.
4. Burnt taste? It's a lot easier to replace ur wick with an rba than a tank system that you have to dismantle almost the whole tank.
Try replacing a protank coil at the casino and you get looks!!! I had to tell them I am not setting up shop or a lab!!! LOL
5. I don't have to carry a little ziploc baggy for my used coils. I had to save them since I rebuild them.
6. I will edit as the day goes on. I just got to work and people are looking for me! LOL!

Hmm I WANT to believe (call me neo lol) if this was in the provari forum what would I hear.

Im not trying to start schtuff...

Well the thing is that it really DOES depend on how you like to vape. As I said before, if you like using tanks a lot and this is what you think gives you a good constant vape, then a Provari will probably suit your needs more than a Reo. But if you really get the best vape out of a dripper & find yourself dripping more often, or even a lot, even when you're using a tank then a Reo is probably going to make you happier.

I used to have a Kayfun mini/Jm mod before buying my first Reo. I liked using a tank a lot And LOVE building my own coils for my devices. But what I found was that I HATED fiddling with the eliquid when the wick was not set just right & hated little things like filling (my kayfun gave me lots of problems filling) & just the general messiness associated with the tank. So with the Reo I got everything I wanted in that I do build my coils just the way I want. I also have ease of filling because the bottle is REALLY easy to fill & go. If something's not right with my coil (which rarely happens with my drippers) it's easy to adjust things without a bunch of mess.

I've never owned a provari but the reason I didn't chose that device to begin with is for the simple fact that I don't care enough about VV to ever use the features I'd be buying with the Provari. So for me it just didn't make sense to get one. But even if I did want vv I could have gotten that with a Reo & I probably would have been happier with a vv Reo than a Provari simply because I am a dripper at heart.

And I'm with you in that I had to save for my first expensive PV so I did a lot of research & thought it through very carefully before buying my first one. I do have 2 Reos now but 1 was essentially a Christmas present & the other was a special Woodville (I really wanted a wood mod & they came out at just the right time for me) and I sold all my other good vape equipment to get it.

I know Steam861 and Ocelot are "dual" owners. They love them both. They must know something.

I really, really did like mine. It was rock solid, dependable, etc. The downfall was the endless hunt for toppers, and the maintenance of said toppers. Even when I found "the one"...it never lasted. Once I put the RM2 on my reo...it was over. The fact that I've been going like this since August says something to me.

I've had 8 provaris total. 4 at the same time at one point. They are great PV. With this, I carry 4 protank 2s constantly, with a backup of coil heads. It didn't matter if it's a quick run to home depot or all day.

A lot of this applies to me also.

Just a thought on batteries. When a battery dies you just replace the battery and keep going. With a MVP (also a very good device) when your battery goes you have to buy a new mod. So just comparing prices 10 bux for a battery or 45 bux for a new mod I think that speaks for itself. I gifted my MVP to my brother to help get him off analogs. I own 2 ProVari and 5 Reos I'll be getting another Reo soon. I use my Reos almost exclusively and they are the only mods that leave the house with me.

OK - for ME - and I have a Provari and a REO. The Provari never gets used. Because for me, it means fiddling too much. I don't want to use a dripping atomizer on a Provari, because - well, that's too fiddly - I don't want to drive and drip, I don't want to drip at work, I only use a dripping atomizer to taste test juices and I use my Kamry 101 for that.

I have tried more tanks styles and RBA's than I probably should have money wise. I never got one to satisfy me when it came to consistency. The KFL+ frustrated me to no end. If you got dry hits, how could you fix it? Tear it down, and lose all the juice in the tank before you ever get to the coil.

If I need to adjust my coil/wicking in the REO, I don't have to lose all my juice.

I'm up to seven REO's, possibly eight in the next few days. My Provari is going to a good friend of mine who doesn't mind the fiddling of tanks.

This has been so informative! I really feel like I understand a lot more of the appeal.. from here & a little googling it seems the atomizer you use really is key to getting a good vape. The reomizer seems like the best fit which makes complete sense. Now I just hafta save up... but gonna start diy juice & not buying the stinkies will make that easier.

Thanks again. . Great community you have here in the reo sub forum.

Hey, I hear you - no Rockefellers in my family, either. I have a Provari and a Reo Grand VV (variable voltage). I still use the Provi because I like the Aspire tanks and because I still like to vape my all-time favorite juice in a carto tank - I'm hard-headed that way. Here's the thing, though: you don't have to squonk to use the Reo. If I didn't have the Provi, I could always put my old-school carto tank on the Reo and use it like any other mod. On the other hand, there's absolutely no squonking with the Provi - just try putting juice in the battery tube and see where that gets you :) So the Reo, especially the Reo VV, would give you the best of both worlds.
