Hi everybody, I'm ordering a bunch of juices as my 1st mistake was getting plain old nasty juice. I am 1 1/2-2 pack analogs, always been lights. Should I order some juices @ 24 & some @ 18MG, where did u all start? Maybe w/ lights 12 MG is better but I've read the nicotine is different then analogs. Don't wanna go too low & I lose interest but don't wanna go way to strong. I know everyone has preference but curious to where u started? Help plz

If you have more than one clearo or tank, and since you mentioned ordering more than one, I'd suggest you order some in 12, 18 and 24 and test from there. But, if you were only going to order one I'd say try 18 first and adjust from there.

Personally, as an ex 1-1/2 pack a day smoker I mix my own and have some 12, 15 and 18 ready to go depending on my mood.

Your best bet may be to buy a combination of strengths - if the lower ones are too low right now you can progress to them later anyway. You're quite a heavy smoker so you might want 24mg/ml, or possibly even higher. Many people use one strength for general use, but a higher one to get through cravings. It can take a little time to find what suits you, but once you do, you will be able to get yourself off the cigarettes.

Personally I used to smoke a pack a day of lights. I started with 18mg ejuice, and am already down to 12mg after only 5 weeks.

Good luck!

I started with 24mg but only cause I thought that was the highest available. Then I found Mt Baker and switched to 36mg. I vaped 36mg exclusively for about 6 months. Now I'm back down to 24mg and and occasionally 36mg if I'm in that mood. But at times I can vape an 12mg and feel just fine. That's usually at night before bed time.
So maybe getting a few at different levels might be a good idea until you find what you really like. And if you decide you don't like the higher ones they can always be diluted to your liking. That's how I get my 24mg, I just dilute my 36mg with some VG.

I started at 24mg on a Johnson Creek Vea with the canteen system (clearomizer). I wasn't a heavy smoker, a couple in the evening, but I loved my nicotine buzz, especially with my alcohol. I smoked MB reds. The Vea setup was enough for me to put away analogs indefinitely. I haven't had one since Feb 2014.

However after not much longer than a month after starting with e-cigs, I switched to a rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA) atop an iTaste SVD variable voltage/variable wattage device (vv/vw) and the 24mg strength got to be a bit too much, since I was inhaling denser vapor at higher wattage. I'm now at 12mg or less and I might even go down to 6mg to experiment with even higher wattage and lower resistance. I'm still trying to do a bit of experimenting to find some sweet spots.

I started at 24 because I was a 2 pack a day smoker.I was able to comfortably quit with a 24. I'm still using 24 now but in the near future might lower it. It all depends on how much or how little you smoked. If you were a pack a day I'd start at 18. If you found yourself having cravings then I'd bump up to 24. But if you were a 2 pack a day smoker I'd definitely go with the 24. Hope this helps.

I was also smoking a pack + a day and was smoking full strength cigarettes. I started at 24mg and it made the switch really easy. I just ordered a bunch of juices at 18mg and to be completely honest I can't really tell the difference, perhaps my new setup is being more efficient than what I was vaping the 24mg juice, but the 18mg is perfectly fine. I have no craving for analogs whatsoever. I plan on trying 12mg on my next order for sure.

You'll feel it if you are taking in too much nicotine, you'll get a headache or nausea or just feel a brief bit of off. Drink some water, take a little break, and adjust accordingly.

I was a 2 pack a day, for over 40 years. Went to ultra lights the last few years. I started with 18 mg. and it kept me from smoking, but I felt anxious and nervous. Went back to the vape store and got some 24 mg. The difference was amazing, in only a couple of hours, I felt totally comfortable. I'm sticking with 24 mg. Nicotine is not an issue for me - smoking cigarettes was!

Good advice with getting some 18/24. Not sure 12 would work yet but it might. I was a pack a day and started at 18. I'm able to vape almost whenever I want so i got nic'd out my first couple weeks on a regular basis and switched to 12. If you get headaches, it's time to lower nic (or vape less. easier said than done.lol)

Devices make a big difference too. I can't drip 12mg. It's way too much. I usually go 6-8 strength with my drippers.

The first goal is finding the strength that keeps the cravings away. Even if it's 36. Whatever it takes.

+1 to "depends on the device". When I was using CE4/CE5's, I generally hovered around the 24mg level. I was a 20+ a day smoker.

Moved onto Iclears and Protanks which made me drop to 12/18mg

Moved onto a rebuildable tank system and I've had to drop again to 6mg, often zero nicotine.

Depends on the user, and the equipment really. All in, do what works :D

24mg seems to be the started point for heavy smokers. If that hits the spot, great. If you continue to vape on 24mg, that is also great. Everyone's mileage will vary here I think
