I was smoking two packs a day, then I was staying with family, so I couldn't smoke in the house. The winter weather got me down to 10 analogs a day. Started vaping on an ego with a clear cart, 21mg, after a week went down to 16MG which I am staying at for now. No cravings...
This was my second attempt, started with a cig-a-like back in 2009 or so, but it just didn't work, my son got my to try it again, and so far, I LOVE it!!

Be prepared to spend some money and toss bottles. I was a heavy dipper and a light smoker so my nic intake was pretty high. I started at 24mg which lasted for half a tank (about 2 mls) before it got too harsh for me. I lasted about a bottle and a half through 18mg before settling into 12mg for about 3 months. I've been on 6mg for over a year and half now and drop down to 3mg occasionally. I've noticed that every vaper reacts differently to nic level and throat hit. Asking people what to buy is a great way to start but you really just have to experience it for yourself.

I was a 2 PAD Full Flavor Smoker, but my wife was a PAD Light Smoker. We started @ 18mg but it was too strong (Throat Hit) for the wife, and with some juices even for me. So what we've done is gone with 12mg 65%/35% and then bought unflavored 65%/35% 24mg nicotine. You can buy unflavored nicotine any pg/vg % and any Nicotine mg up to 36mg from Mount Baker Vapor dirt cheap. With the 12mg E-jucie & 24mg unflavored, using a 1 1/2 ml tank --- add 1 drop to get 14mg, 2 drops 15.5mg, 3 drops 16.5 mg, 4 drops 17.5mg, 5 Drops 18mg, 6 drops 19mg and so on. (can also use 36mg unflavored if you think you want to adjust higher) It's also a great way to ween down on nicotine when we lower eventually down to 6mg ... can vary up and down. This way we don't waste a lot of money on E-Juice then find out the nicotine level is to strong or too weak.

I started at 24mg. I really wish e cig stores here in Houston would stop pushing ppl to buy low mg. I don't know if they are trying to save a buck or if they think they are doing ppl a favor by limiting their nicotine consumption, but what happens is a new person gets the 12mg and after a few hours comes to the conclusion that vaping can not satiate their nicotine desire then they give up on it altogether.

E cig vendors need to FIRST realize this market would not exist without the nicotine. This is a nicotine delivery system. If you neglect that aspect of vaping you harm the market, as with every disatisfied customer you have another potential anti-vaper willing to go along with any anti-vaper propaganda. People love to be told they're right.
