Lynn, in the beginning I read everything and would be sitting here going

but I kept reading and eventually it sunk in sorta like osmosis.
Told this story before but it still holds true. My favorite physicist, Richard Feynman, came home from school to visit his family and his sister, at 12 or so, confessed that she wanted to be an astronomer but their parents wouldn't hear of it as girls don't do science (this was the late 1930's), they get married and have kids. Richard comforted her and when he went back to school he bought a college level astronomy textbook and sent it to her with this note: Start reading at the beginning and when you get to a place you don't understand what is going on go back to the beginning and start reading again. By the time you finish this book you will be on your way to being an astronomer.
And he was right, she is an astronomer, even married and had kids.
So even if you think your questions are dumb, they aren't. People are reading this thread and going

too but never ask, or don't even know what to ask, so you are asking for them. Keep asking your not at all "dumb" questions.
