Humm.... count me in the 9-18mg camp.

It is my current understanding that the mouth and nose/sinuses are the main areas that nicotine absorbs into the body. The rate is not anything close to %100 nor is it 'instant' like analogs.

The lower the nicotine mg, the more I vape. The higher the nicotine mg the less I vape. I mostly vape unflavored with high to %100VG content.

I rarely "chain vape" anymore. A few puffs every few minutes is enough for me.

The only time I do that is when I'm really stressing out. most of the time a good puff about every 15 minutes to 30 minutes is good enough for me. [emoji4]

now when I first get up in the morning, it's another story. I'm puffin the heck out of this thing till I'm good and awake. [emoji25]

Only thing that stinks about it, is when I forget leave this thing up on 15 watts in the morning and I take a big drag of it and it takes my breath away and I'm all coughing my fool head off. [emoji43] [emoji44] [emoji19]

One of these days, I'll remember when I first get up in the morning, start yourself off slow and build your way up. so you're not sounding like you just took a big puff off of a joint. [emoji57] [emoji28] [emoji23]

Some of this "logic" is like swapping the daily bottle of vodka for a barrel of beer.

I stick to my 18-20mg/ml liquids and have had a quite steady consumption over the past couple of years. Not that I worry much about vaping, but nic is then least of my worries. Luckily it's also the nic I like the most about vaping.
I didn't mean to worry about consumption. Consume whatever you want. I'm currently vaping about 10ml of 6 a day. I was just wondering what everyone preferred in the since of throat hit and nic satisfaction. I would vape higher mg so I would vape less but the th is too much for me. I naturally stepped down in levels tho I never thought that would happen. Amazing but not for everyone. I still have like a lot of 12mg I still need to vape. Oh brother thats going in my stm and I'm gonna mtl it

currently vaping 18mg but i usually vape 12mg when it's available. although, in rdas i do think i'd prefer a lower mg, just havent gotten to trying it yet. gonna be trying 6 and 9mg shortly... 12mg is usually as-much as I want to vape in my rdas... however, if i cant get 12mg from the gas station and the shop is closed (they have irregular hours) I do grab 18mg and vape it in my rdas... which usually makes me sick, but, whatever. lol.

its 12 to 18mg in my rdas for now, but i'll be switching to 6-9mg shortly.
far as the old 510 attys and cartomizers go, and vivi novas and clearomizers- 12-18mg & no lower.

I like a lot of TH, but when I went from a Kayfun to an Achilles, I had to drop down a bit, from 10mg at 10w, to 9mg at 9w, just because the TH was much more intense. But I didn't vape any more than when I used the Kayfun. Since then, I've slowly dropped to 5mg, and really didn't even notice any difference while I was doing it, except the TH got a bit lighter, so I just add more Flash to my mixes.

I didn't think I would drop my nic level much either, but I'm here to tell ya, dropping nicotine is a piece of cake, if you do it slowly enough that your brain doesn't really notice -- I was dropping .5mg weekly, and really couldn't tell at all, except with the throat hit. But dropping WTA level is a great deal harder than dropping nic level -- just over a year now since I went from 10% to 9%, and I'm now at .7% -- it's taken this long to drop that much, and still not finished. But SOON! :)

I started vaping over 3 years ago, and my first bottle was 30mg nicotine. But I was kicking a 2 pack a day Red habit. The Vision Spinners had just been released and I bought two of the big ones, a CE4 atomizer, lanier and case for $115 dollars. But I never touched tobacco again, so the outrageous price for my starter kit was worth it. I quickly went down to 24 and 18mg, then to 12mg for several years. I chain vaped until I began subohm vaping; I've been vaping about 3-6mg nicotine and about a 5ml tank of ejuice per day for at least a year now. I don't care about going down to 0mg nic, it just doesn't feel right somehow.

Long past my last cigarette I did purely with vaping these days.

I find I'm a habit vaper. I need my binkie!!!!

Nicotine is important to me I am still very much an addict.

Yet other factors are working there way towards the front as the distance between smoking increases.

The first is hard to describe as its a "feeling".

The second is easy to describe its the habit of hand to mouth.

Trying to balance these out has been a struggle. Honestly pure nicotine addiction was easier to deal with.

I'm gonna vape a certain amount no matter what I do. So going with high nic just makes me take in more nic. On days when I go pure tootle I take in an ungawdly amount of juice. I don't seem to absorb nic from tootle puffers very well. I easily use 4 or 5 times the nic I need on tootle days. Couple pulls on a RDA at 6mg can leave me lite headed but 18mg on a tootle puffer is like water.

Which brings me to the "feeling". With a tootle puffer I am never satisfied. I'm on that thing like white on rice sucking in massive amounts of nic and still feeling like something is missing. This feeling BTW is why I keep going back to smoking before. Tootle puffing could NEVER get me off smoking but may help with staying off.

    Which leads toooooooooooo.............

6mg at 30w give or take. This got me off smoking and has kept me off for some time now. This gives me exactly what I'm looking for at about 7ML a day. I feel good. The "feeling" is there. Nic level is tolerable. I vape when I want and don't think about it when I can't.

But I don't wanna vape forever. I think I could hit 7ml of 6mg forever and never even think of smoking. I think. I've thought I was done smoking before and been oh so very wrong.

So I think I can tootle puff my way to being clean. Then I'm back to the first points of increasing nic and having to vape every single second and thinking about it non stop.

Christ I don't know. I wish nicotine dependancey was as easy to beat as the other things I was hooked on. All I had to do to kick those was lose everything, spend a year in state sponsored treatment and go to 50 million AA meetings. With nicotine my health is/was fading fast and the way out is as yet unclear.

I moved down from 24mg juice to 6mg a couple of years ago. The transition went with no problem at all. I'm still at 6mg and enjoying it. I'll vape a 50ml bottle per week and that's about 7ml a day. I'm transitioning to 3mg soon to try and stay at a level that will pass a nic test for insurance.

I have a pack of nic test strips in my cart at Amazon right now. We'll see if I can vape any nic at all and stay in the non-smoker range. It really gripes me to know that nic is actually a good thing for seniors, but insurance companies treat it like a dangerous addiction. I'm considering asking my doctor to recommend a little nic for cognizance just in case. They tend to test for nic if you have surgery these days. I'd hate to get back billed by an insurance company for that. A standing prescription would explain the nic level.

I really think that insurance companies should test for alcohol and other things. How many people would rise up if they had to pay a 50% insurance surcharge for being a low level, casual drinker? Most people would fight back if insurance companies tried to charge more for an out of range item like cholesterol or blood sugar on a blood chemistry profile. Most of America is overweight, out of shape, and careless about what they eat.

Started at 18 and now doing 30. What can I say? I'm still struggling.

Just so it's said - I'm not "liking" your struggles. :)

Ditto that -- but she's still in there swinging! That's what counts! If you just don't give up on vaping, eventually, it's magic! It just takes a bit longer for some. :thumb:

Yeah well, that makes two of us, but I'm still working at it. The only thing I really want to give up at this point is the cigarettes. I was a two pack a day smoker. Now down to 1/2 pack a day........when I'm at work.

Yep, it's been a SERIOUSLY long journey for me, and I'm still not quite understanding what is taking me so long. However, like I said above, I'm not a quitter......in other words.....I won't give up until I can put the ciggies down.
