What nicotine level should I be at?

I have no intention of lowering or quitting nicotine. I base my nic level off cravings and my builds/set ups lol. Thanks everyone

I live happily in nicotine paradise at 12mg using mostly a kayfun 5 with 1.5 ohm coils. Don't see myself going to lower levels .

Good thing about vaping , the freedom to choose from a lot of options

^ this exactly, i vape 6mg because i chose to not because i wanted to quit vaping entirely i'm very comfy at that level and doing 3mg i was going through too much liquid so i'm staying at 6mg and don't feel the need to quit nicotine as imo it goes well with a couple beers :p

Honestly I wanted more nicotine because of cravings but I felt like since I was chain vaping all day that it was making me tired and dehydrated

Dry mouth is always an issue. Keeping something liquid, even just water, at hand really helps. I sometimes wonder if any of the "irritation" of their throat is really due to dry mucous membranes and that sipping a liquid while vaping might prevent much of that.

I had dry mouth to start with, and the best remedies I have found are Ricolas, biotene, that and drinking something pretty much non-stop. I don't think I increased my liquid intake much when I started vaping, because I'm not sure how POSSIBLE that was, but good old Chamomile tea with honey and lemon really soothed my throat to start.

I do think the humectants in tobacco that make it sliiiide down your throat or whatever it is they do actually made chain-smoking easier than chain-vaping, honestly. I'll occasionally get a sore throat if I'm not paying attention to how much I'm vaping, but otherwise it's usually fine.

AND, I just went out on a bunch of errands, and my batteries died halfway through. Rather than stop to change them or EVEN pull out my backup mod, I just drove the rest of the way home, unloaded all the groceries, etc., and only then decided to fix my vape, LOL. Maybe I am actually ready to step down a bit.... :)

I drink Honey Chamomile tea also and I have a terrible time with a sore throat because I want to vape more than my throat allows. My throat adjusted to the 3mg Sub Ohm tanks but this new MTL I am having a heck of a time with it, so I am doing both just to get the nic the best way I can and go the most before the sore throat starts.

Congrats on driving on home and then putting things away before vaping!

Since I started vaping 5+ years ago, I can not go lower then 18mg without wanting to go climb a tree! Or worse. So, I stay at 20mg no matter what Ω's I vape at (.5 to1.5Ω's) usually in the 15-18Watts range. I know some people get nic-sick but I do not. (weird, huh?) Then, when I chew 2mg nic gum, I get the hiccups, indicating a nic overload, so, I am guessing I am not even getting that high of an amount of nic when I vape. I do not care how high my nic is as long as I am not climbing a tree! Go up in your nic until you feel relief and don't worry so much about the mg's. Some here can not go lower then 24mg and have been vaping for years. Good luck!

I only got nic sick when I was chain-vaping a Cleto sub0hm tank at 12 m.g. of nic, starting out this time. I was pretty surprised, actually, but I was chain-vaping a lot. I haven't ever since I switched to MTL. I don't think it's absurdly common to get nic sick while vaping, honestly, due to lower absorption rates and nic being a sort of "self-regulating" substance. I know when to put the vape down... now. But, apart from that first day an a half (where I showed up here) I haven't gotten nic sick, and a lot of people just don't. :)

With that said, I don't know that I ever got nic-sick from chain-smoking, either. Mainly when I was switching over and desperately trying to get "cig" out of "vape" alone, which doesn't work. I have no plans on repeating the experience, either, it wasn't fun....

I have a lot of juice I made already at 8mg would like to mix it with a higher nic level to make 12 so it doesn't go to waste. Anyone have a special calculator? Lol

Just take your volume and figure 4 mg per ml,so your ml x 4, then you know how much you need. If you made up 30ml then you need 120 mg of nicotine, (30 x 4 = 120) which is 1.2 ml of nicotine base per 30 ml of premixed e juice provided your nicotine base is 100mg/ml.

Simple maths. No calculator needed. When your just adding a little bit of nicotine I never worry about being any more exacting than that.. Keep it simple is my rule.

ETA: see you figured it out. Lol.. glad it's working out for you.

After 5 years of vaping, I sub ohm 24mg juice.
The imprecise terminology that's so common in our community drives me nuts at times. "Sub ohm" tells us that your coils are below 1.0 ohms. But in today's world of regulated devices, it doesn't tell us anything at all about the amount of power you're putting into those coils, or your vaping style (airflow and MTL vs DTL).

All my coils are under one ohm too, but I'm very much an MTL vaper, taking very short hits and pulling very little into my lungs. I guess that makes me a sub-ohm tootle-puffer?

Love it, "sub-ohm tootle puffer".

All my coils are 1.5ish bangin a whopping 13.5 watts, 5mg juice, semi restricted looooong deep lung bustin DL draws. Does this make me a Tootle-huff-n-puffer?
