I quit smoking about a month and a half ago. So far the only effect I've really noticed is that my breathing is better. Before walking to and from work, which is about 2 miles, would leave me out of breath. Now I feel perfectly normal and I think I could probably walk twice that far without feeling exhausted.

o More energy
o Better daily management (focus)
o Not as fatigued
o Can socialize without fear of being shunned due to lingering smell of smoke on clothing
o Not getting the 'cravings' as much - don't need to vape right when I wake up
o Less headaches
o Not getting smoker's cough
o Not sick as often
o If sick, I'm not coughing out my lungs and the illness doesn't linger as it used to (immune system is much better)
o and the list goes on...

I remember running out/low of cigarettes would make me panic. My life was controlled by just not being able to be without a cigarette and, when at work, wondering when I could have my next smoke. With vaping, it's not as mandatory for me and I can go without for very long periods without even thinking about it.

It's nice to have my life back!

Id say good things about it are not running out of cigs, vaping is less expensive, my throat doesn't hurt all the time, teeth are getting whiter, no stink. But there are things about it i don't like also. Too much vaping makes my mouth swell up, but that's probably just my deal. Its awkward smoking anything but a cigalike around strangers, its not as satisfying as a cig, and i still have throat mucus its just not as thick and dark. Vaping leaves an oily taste in my mouth. And the equipment is finicky and mostly needs to be repeatedly replaced and cared for. Not that id ever go back to smoking, i think I'm just gonna quit vaping also.

All of that plus I think I'm a calmer person now.

Yep, all that! One of my favorite things though... being able to HUG people I run into without worrying about how I stink. I used to dodge or re-direct anyone who tried to hug me hello, LOL!

I've noticed a lot of the things you all have mentioned, but one of the biggest positives to strike me is the realization that I am a drug addict. Yep, that's right. When I smoked, I knew I was addicted, and they were bad for me, but they were so easy to obtain and the ritual so cemented in my life that ... well, I accepted it. Vaping, with all it's intricacies, it's ups and downs, it has really opened my eyes to just HOW much of an addict I am. I am far more conscious of my intake, of my impulses. It has made me a more mature person, I am less likely to say '.... it' and do something, instead I think things out.

Not sure if this makes a whole lot of sense, it's kind of hard to put into words, but vaping has literally made me a better person. Perhaps it's something to do with better focus like some of you have mentioned, but I really do think it has more to do with the constant battle with making vaping work for me (less so anymore, thanks to better gear and places like ECF and other online haunts) and the fear of falling back into the analog habit. I am aware of the hungry little monster inside of me, and I'm learning how to shut the evil ....... up now and then.

Well... I'm definitely not saving money lol! But for the first time in however many dozens of times I've quit smoking, I actually feel pretty confident that I can maintain this forever. That's priceless.

Not being stressed that I'm paying out thousands of dollars each year to eventually give myself lung cancer like a bonehead is also a plus.
