My current favorite is my vision vamo, I'm digging the vw and 3.5 watt vaping. I loved my kicked telescope for a couple of weeks, but got tired of taking it all apart to clean the contacts every five minutes due to the high humidity down here. I still quite like my tox and pull it out regularly, and that ended up being a pretty despised product overall. And my vv gripper I've used so much I wore the ever loving out of it. I never picked up a provari because frankly the fanatics turned me off. The darwin got a no go from me because I find the form factor revolting.

All this to say, the only way to find out if you'll actually like something is to holds it in your hand and use it for more than five minutes.

And my final 2 cents, my natural inclination is not to buy something that I'm pretty sure currently doesn't work well "as is" on the off chance it can be fixed later.

Well, that brings the question; What can a Provari do that an eVic can't?

"Last".......the eVic is a great MOD, and is "revolutionary"..To me, that's enough to own it..kinda like a piece of vaping history..
The 'Lava" tube was "revolutionary"

Best bang for buck if you can hold off...Anyvape CVI..hands down...

erin has a point...the Vamo is in second place for me..excellent MOD..all the way..

weighs a ton..makes a nice weapon in a fight...

I think with my tax return.. When ever that may be... I will be getting an evic or cvi.. or something comparable.. And a mech mod.. The mech mods are absolutely amazing to me... I needs them alllll .. But I'll start with a cheap one first :D

Take my advice...get a mechanical that will accept a kick...vaping 3.7 wont cut it most of the time...

Norman, Ok
My thoughts/opinions.... like everyone else said, use your preferences to guide you...

Between the Anyvape CVI and Vision VAMO..

The simplified buttons to quickly access an increase or decrease in voltage or wattage on the VAMO much easier to use... just this alone made me put down my ZMax which uses a similar menu system as the CVI. Of course, the CVI does have various colors available and two styles/looks.

Between the eVic and the VAMO...

I do like the screen, but I don't use the screen often. The twist knob for changing settings appears to make it easy but I'd have to use one to see if I liked it over ( or the same as ) the VAMO's simplified menu setup. Again when it comes to colors, the eVic currently has more options available than the VAMO. The downside that really kills it for me with the eVic is the limited amperage output to address overheating the unit.

All 3 units provide support for both 18350 and 18650 batteries... so that is a wash. The yet to be released Smoktech Telescoping ZMax is also one to consider and it will provide even more options for battery selections, of course it will still use the single button menu system that I don't care for as much.

I only wish the Robust would be released with VV/VW options and increase amperage output... then I'd have a smaller option for times that battery capacity isn't an issue... For now, I'll just have to be happy using a 18350 setup for those times.

Krak , I'm lovin my EVIC and the mac software will be out before the end of January.
It's especially nice with the joytech 18350 tube and battery from GV. Short, stylish and light. I am quite happy with the power output in fact the only complaint I have is waiting on the next firmware update. I'm very impatient in that regard. 1.2 (or 2.0, they keep switching those two numbers on their site) will be showing carto ohms and volts(if in power and power if in volts) in place of the puff counter. With the standard 18650 tube and bat it is slightly taller than my provari but much, much lighter. You will not regret getting it unless you are one of those folks who likes scortching the cilia in their lungs.

By the end of Jan...? NICE! Iv seen 1.2 beta (YouTube) and i like it, Im also one of those people who LIKE the puff counter (am i really the minority?) Im having a hard time finding bad things about it (price is high/ BUT LOOK AT THAT SCREEN!) I love the fact it refuses to output a dangerous amount of power (scaling down) Good odds i will get it. I mean heck, worse thing i toss it in the classified section and get a decent amount of $ back and try something else, right?
It is a historic part of the vaping community being the first of its kind for firmware updates.

HARDER)

The answer to this question is: be dropped or take a fall on concrete or tile............. I own both, Provari and evic, and while the evic has some cute-see lil features, its power limitations keep it from performing what the provari can. Variable wattage is just automatic variable voltage in a nutshell. Plus a provari is built like a tank compared to the evic.

"raises hand"
I vape around 5.0v - 5.5 depending on what Im using. My rebuildables I sometimes even get up to 5.6-5.8v..
