(gotta roll with the redbull man)

Ok, then. You got jammed by a mass marketer that sold you a POS that won't last long, battery sucks, and doesn't give much vapor. buy something else once you get the coins.

There....straight up. LOL.

Return the E9 for a refund, get a Joye (Joyetech) eGo kit (either 650mah, 750mah, 900mah, or 1000mah -- the higher the mah, the longer the battery will last before needing to be recharged) -- or a Riva or Tornado kit (which are generic eGos).

The battery life will be your first concern (at some point in your vaping experience, if not already). After a few days of charging batteries all day long, you won't care what the PV (personal vaporizer) looks like.

The eGo battery is the most popular and has the longest life of any of the standard e-cigs available currently.

Check out the following sites for prices and availability. Look for a starter kit that's priced around $30 to $65. Ask here if you have more questions. Read more threads in the Newbie Section here. A lot of people have given advice to a lot of newbies with the same questions.

Yeah, i knew what it was.... but still... it is the same thing... E9, 808-2, whatever you want to name it....it is what it is. it is a tool to test the ecig thing to try it out and then move on. Simple as that.

Just wanted to clarify it for the OP, since he wasn't able to find it searching at Google. He said he came up with some foreign site when he searched for the numbers you mentioned. Wasn't gonna .... into this, except for that. Then I decided to paste my recent generic msg into the next post, so he could find out what he should do and what he should buy. Of course, that's an eGo (if he wants the longer battery life).

I don't think he needs an EGO really. He/She only smokes 1/2 pack a day. I presume a he based on the conversation, but who knows, lol.

The advantage to an eGo is the long battery life, no matter how much he or she smokes per day. Not having to recharge batteries is a big advantage to me, the performance of the eGo is good in every way, the construction of the eGo is better than most of the other starter batteries, and the price of the eGo is so low that I don't see how anyone can go wrong with buying a couple, even if they are the 650mAh batteries.

i hear you Deb, I thought it was an 808-2... but my brain doesn't always work 100%... ha ha. he mentioned it was an 808... and i was like... hmm... definitely not....but forgot the 808-2 for a bit... thanks....

Sure, I understand. Please don't ever think I'm correcting you. Just wanted to help dysfoundation out a little when he said he didn't want to click on that foreign site that came up.

Sorry about the Rangers! Maybe next game will be better...

Can't wait to hear your review of the SmokeStik. Let us all know what you think... I know LowThudd loves his, so I've been real curious about it, but I've spent over five months worth of 3 cartons of cigs per month at $71 each in the last month and a half, so I need to stop spending! In other words, I won't break even until at least mid-February, if I quit buying e-cig stuff right now.

Yeah, i know, he is a SS fanboy big time. i ordered a SS battery because one of my 4081's died....so what the heck. And ordered some of their cartos.

Their cartos are different. i have looked at the reviews with them torn apart. They are built entirely differently.... will be interesting, but only ordered 5.

I almost ordered some SS cartos about a week or so ago, when I remembered I liked the 4081 cartos that came with the highly overpriced Smokeless Delite kit. Their battery was a 510 but they sent an adapter to use with the cartos (which they call USA Made Cartridges). I still have those cartos from mid-Sept, but they're kind of funky tasting. Anyway, I have the 4081 adapters to 510 batteries, so one of these days, I'll probably order some new 4081 cartos. Am anxiously awaiting your review of the cartos, too. :)

I began asking about the E9 in May & everyone felt the threads of the KR808D-2 (E9) wouldn't work with KR808D-1's. They got their info from the ecig wiki. Since e-cig.com has a reputation for bad service on this forum, few have actually tried their products. Some said standard D1 cartos work on the D2, but that D2 cartos won't work on a D1 battery.

Apparently the threads are so close that the super long D2 cartos on e-cig.com are now being sold as D1's and people are raving about them. I'm vaping one as I write this, a D2 carto on a D1 batt!

Bottom line: despite what some may tell you, KR808 cartomizers should work with your E9 battery. If you're skeptical, have someone in the Pay-it-Forward section send you a free KR808 carto & try it out on your E9 before ordering them.

In any case, I'm with WomanOfHeart & deback & TheBuss (wait..did that sound right?..). Cut your losses & buy an eGo! Oh, and Welcome to vaping!

OK
I have read the read the threads regarding this issue and people say no. Kr808-2 threads will not work with KR808D-1. I could be wrong, just reporting what others have already said on this....on this forum, not Wiki.

Even in the very unlikely event that they did work, i fail to see what the point would be. The KR808-2 battery is likely why it sucks. Regardless of what it may or may not attach to is not overly important - in the long run.

For the E9 or standard KR808, I agree with you. I'm using a 380mAh XL though, which gives me about 4 hrs of vaping. Combine that with the super long E9 cartos holding >2ml and suddenly D2's working on D1's is kinda' important. Not as good as 9 hrs on a mega eGo, but decent.

What you said was exactly my point, though, people on ECF said D2 won't fit D1, but they do. North China & South China seem to be bitter competitors which put out misleading info about each other's products. My guess is D2's were made to steal some E9 customers to North Chinese products while still being compatible with their D1 threaded products. They aren't an exact match, but they will work. (see pic below next to a nasty ol' 100mm analog) :2cool:
