Ok Now that I've picked myself off the floor, in answer to the OP.

It happens. Especially with higher voltage (you said you had it cranked full open)

A longer drip tip will help, but at HV you're gonna get (hmmmm. How to put this)...(I give up...) an occasional hot shot of liquid into your mouth. I think of it as "happy cartomizer spit" It shows me the carto is in good shape and getting nice and hot.

It really won't hurt anything, although some is really nasty tasting, a quick sip of water will clear that right up.

Enjoy the HV and let me know the twist does after you've had it a couple months. I want one SO bad.
