What to get

My cousin turned me on to vaping yesterday. I went to the gas station and got one of the disposable blu ecigs. I want to go buy something today but have no idea what I am looking for. What is good. What do I need to get.

I have been using an innokin itaste vv v3.0 for a few days now and really like it. It came with an iclear 16. Very lightweight and the variable voltage and wattage is great.

I will probably buy the triton. Can I use any juice with it or just the ones halo sells

Most sites will tell you if they have had reports of this but seems heavy cinnamon and some of the citrus tend to do this. I have Halo mini tanks and so far no problem with this but heavy cinnamon not my thing and haven't tried grapefruit although I vape Lemon Ice daily and no probs.

If you don't like the box style of the MVP, they have a smaller one itaste vv v3 that works really well. It's compact, has variable voltage and variable wattage, ohms checker and pass thru just like the MVP but its only a 800mah battery instead of 2600mah so the battery won't last days like the MVP does. My brother gets about 6-8hours of vaping from his Vv.... But depending on use that could be more or less. Also I would invest in glass/Pyrex tanks.... A lot of ejuices are known to be tank crackers on plastic tanks.... Flavor is better from glass in my opinion too

OP, I agree with her!! The Itaste VV3 is the way to go. It was my first rig and I have 3 of them now, all loaded with different flavors. I like that they are square and don't go rolling off when you lay them down. The batt lasts all day and you have the option of varying the volts/watts to get that sweet spot. I also agree on her tank choice. Get a couple of PT II mini tanks, you can never have enough tanks. Juice flavors are subjective. If you have a vape shop anywhere, get on over there and sample some flavors. Your taste will change, so return visits will be in order too!!

If I get the VV3 what else do I need to get beside juice.

If it's a full kit, then just juice. Here (in the UK) we get iTaste battery + 5 iClears and the charging cable.

Normally people recommend a spare battery, but you can even charge the iTaste as you use it, if you are near USB.

I'm not a big fan of the Iclear 16's altho that's what I started with. Too warm for me and they are plastic.I use the Kanger Protank II mini's for the most part. Pyrex tanks, not plastic. Be sure and get some spare coils for them too. I like the 2.2 ohm ones personally.

Went and picked up an ego at the store. I love this thing. And y'all are right. I will probably be upgrading or changing things

Super! I got my ego at a local vape shop and it's kept me from smoking for about a month and half now. There are many things to choose from in vaping world.:)

On the saving money question, the figures in my signature are pretty accurate (minus $50 that I just spent yesterday) after four months, and that's in a low tax state. I started with two itaste vvs, and what I just ordered was an MVP. I've spent most of my money on juice and toppers. Both involved quite a bit of experimenting to figure out what I like best.

It is true (at least for me anyway) that most of the cost is in the beginning, trying to figure out what setup suits you. There are a lot of variables that will come in to play. The key is to keep experimenting until you find the setup you feel comfortable with. No one system is right for everyone, that's why there are so many to choose from.

Keep on keepin' on!

Let me ask y'all this. Is it cheaper to vape than buying cigarettes. I know it is better for you

Yes, the actual cost of vaping, ( Juice, atomizer maintenance, charging batteries and replacement when need) is vastly less expensive than the cost of smoking. Without even considering the increased health benefits of ones life, Is there value to placed on that to be considered ? or not ?.

I can mix my own juice at less than $4 for 50 ml of custom, flavored, VG/PG ratio, nic mg level juice. coil and wick cost maybe $30 a year.

My cousin turned me on to vaping yesterday. I went to the gas station and got one of the disposable blu ecigs. I want to go buy something today but have no idea what I am looking for. What is good. What do I need to get.

You first need to see what is possible with vaping and which style suits your needs and what you want out of vaping.

How long does a bottle of juice last. I am used to smoking a pack of cigarettes a day.

Depends on your quality of gear, watts that you vape at, and how often you vape.

The average vaper consumes 4 ml per day, some much lower, some 10, 15, 20 ml or more. Has been days when I've vaped in the or more category

It's always good to have a backup.... Just in case.... I have multiple tanks because I like to switch flavors a lot.... It's easier to just switch a tank out than to clean your tank and switch coils.

Um, yeah, if going ego style batt, 2 batteries are the minimum recommended purchase. You'll need one to vape when the other needs charging. unless you are willing to go without your vape for the 2 hours or so that the bat charges.

If using a tube or box mod with replace able batteries, min 2 or three is recommended, that way you always have a fully charged battery ready.

Having multiple tanks are a great way to vape multiple juices, if you find more than one juice that you like to vape during the day. I am currently vaping 5 differ tank re-buildable atomizers, rba's, they hold anywhere from 3-6 ml of juice each. I do happen to have each on a different battery device, also referred to as tube mod, box mod, regulated mod, mechanical mod, mod, So I can vape without having to switch the tank.

Many will call this backups, some call it their collection, others just use the phrase
and most used excuse is said:
"but honey, the forum members said that you must have backups! You don't want risking me going back to smokes ? do you honey?"

I was looking at the halo tritons and kind of liked them. What is the point of having numerous tanks. Isn't the tank where the juice goes

Go with what you like and will suite your needs. See explanation of "why multiple tanks" in answer above under "back ups" question.

If you have a vape shop anywhere, get on over there and sample some flavors. Your taste will change, so return visits will be in order too!!

If you decide on a changeable coil head atomizer, take a look at the Aspire Nautilus BDC, Bottom Dual-coil Changeable, tank. It is probably the best changeable atomizer on the market currently.

If I get the VV3 what else do I need to get beside juice.

Not matter what battery device you choose to get, you will need an atomizer, 2 is nice, but can easily start of at one, till you find more than one juice that you like. Plus it is good to try different types to find the method you prefer. Unless you are absolutely sure on the style you want. You will also need juice.

Choosing a few flavors that sound like you might enjoy vape, is good to do. Not all juices will be liked, if you only get one juice, one risks not liking it, and not being able to enjoy your vape, of giving up. Having flavor you like could also save you time wasted trying to find, "taste like my Camel's, Marlboro's, Newport's" chase. This is a false trail, the order of the phoenix, woops, wrong forum.. lol

If one vapes for some weeks, months years, one tends to get a collection of stuff that no longer satisfies them, and was crap or not liked, along with the collection of backups and or "Vape Collection" lol

Many use the collection of starter kits of cig-a-like, ego, firsts mods, and will PIF, pay it forward, to a friend, family member, or loved one. Least that is what I did, with my first vape gear. and if I can help just one smoker, it pays for itself, that's a great feeling.

What are the coils for

Coils are what heat you juice and atomizes it into Vape. The spark plug or glow plug so to speak. All coils must be maintained to insure a quality satisfying vape. Maintenance of your atomizer, depends out what style you choose to use. There are disposable, changeable, re-buildable, cartomizer, styles of atomizers.

Start with an ego. Can't go wrong. And then the adventure begins.

ego's are ok, and will get you there, but for the same price of a quality ego setup, one could have something like the Innokin VV V3 or MVP. Give a much more controlled vape.

An EGO C Twist or Vision Spinner with a Kanger Protank is a great way to get started!

Yeah, a ego twist are a step up from an constant voltage ego, gives more control, but for about the same price a VV V3 or mvp, would be a better value in my opinion. But those are something each new vapor has to decide for themselves. Tis why searching, comparing and finding what best suits your needs and wants is so important to get a good start in vaping. To many of us had to learn the hard way. lol. Main thing is you are here at the ECF and have all this knowledge at your finger tips.
