Well I am going to place a bulk wholesale order from China in about a week. Mostly juice(about 50 10ml bottles and a few 500ml bottles) and a few kits. I will certainly post the details if/when and how it arrives. They said the bottles would be listed as vitamins not sure about the kits though.

In one of my orders from China, the e-cig components were wrapped tightly in a very very thick wad of bubble wrap. Sitting right on top of the bubble wrap wad was a god awful ugly burgundy drapery tassle. I cracked up when I opened that box.

Eastmall, right? They put those in some packages as a lagniappe. When they were doing it, it said you could go on their site and see what the characters stood for, iirc.

It was just a present, not something to confuse anyone opening the package;)

Is China the only country making PG or VG-based nicotine for sale to the general public?

An excerpt from Johnson Creek's web site faq:
Q: Is your smoke juice made in America?
A: Yes it is! Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice is proudly made from scratch with the finest ingredients right here in Johnson Creek, WI.

Also, Totally Wicked manufactures all their own liquid from pharmaceutical grade nicotine.

Edit: Scratch that, TW didn't state that they "make" their own liquid, i was wrong.

However, i know for sure there are other places that make their own, but i haven't checked everyone out yet. Anyone else know who does besides JC?

It is all about the freight manifest that customs looks at (the piece of paper in the zip-lock bag on the outside). My kits and parts come labeled as "batteries and chargers." My juice comes labeled as "aromatic essences." They also make sure the declared value is 25 bucks. Most China suppliers know how to do it.

Even 20 kits and extra parts will fit in a small box. If you order a palette full, then you may have trouble.

This is my experience with US customs. I have no idea about Canada, eh.:D

So, if the Chinese are smart, they'll stop calling them "electronic cigarettes" and just call them "chargers, batteries & components!"

Still wondering if all nicotine liquid base comes from China?

Dekang Biotechnology is the only major e-liquid manufacturer currently supplying over 90% of market’s e-liquid. We supply e-liquid to all major electronic cigarette manufacturing and trade companies across the globe. The successes of Dekang lead to the formation of Boge technology in Shenzhen, china, one of the biggest electronic cigarette manufacturers, and Y&C Tech in London, UK

Johnson Creek and Vermont Vapor who else is there out there?

It's not difficult to manufacture stateside. There are sources in the US supplying pure nicotine. As far as I know there are only 2 companies that use their own base.

I was under the impression that if there is a ban, it is not going to be so much availability of items as it is finding someone who will deliver them.

If they are banned, I am pretty sure the post office will not deliver.

quite why folks think the post office and customs have even the vaguest idea of whats in the millions of small packages that get moved around the world i have no idea..

okay it might be a scary thought (for some) but they dont.. not as they want anyone to know this for obvious reasons..

When I was still using the analogs, I was getting them out of NY from the internet, they came addressed from a company that had nothing to do with cigarettes (I would put the name here but don't want to tip anyone off that might be lurking). Now I know that it wasn't legal to do so to avoid the taxes but it sure was cheaper and I just have to believe that e-cigs will be the same. Where the is a will there will be a way.

Hint....my order came from a company that shall remain nameless (one well known to the forum) with the packing label listing another company and not mentioning anything e-cig on the custom form.

Inside the package was a letter asking me not to disclose how they shipped it, so I won't....;)

I talked to my hubby about this since I am waiting for my first China shipment. He worked as a warehouse manager, for a company that had a lot of tool parts shipped from China. Some were being seized due to a mislabeling problem and sent back.
He said the company sends the shipments to EMS in a large container, The EMS people have China customs go over it and then repack it in a UPS (or whomever) Container to be picked up by them.
That container goes in a bigger container that may have toasters in one box, parts in another, linens in a third, until the shiping box is filled.
That box gets flown or shipped to the U.S. where the manifest is once again given to customs (ours this time). The manifest lists what's in the big box.
If there is a red flag on the computer that says "Search all Joe's electronics" then they will tear down the whole box until all of Joe's electronics are found and detained. Or they may do a random search and open boxes.

Now you know what he knows..which may be all wrong in this case! He knows from tool parts!:)

I'm actually very hesitant talking about this type of subject on this board. You can bet your boots the FDA reads it and if we keep "spilling the beans", then we're only screwing ourselvses in the end. Lets hope that we don't end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

I agree and that's why we now have a secure place to go and it was setup by non other than BigJimW.;)

While I agree that naming names and such is spilling the beans. Talking about how shipping works is pretty well known, by the FDA, Customs (as it's their job to know) and all concerned. That doesn't make their job any easier. There are millions of boxes coming in at every port every day. The amount of stuff being seized is tiny (not if it's yours of course!) compared to the amount being recieved. All this thread did was explain how it works and could work. I (and my husband) have no idea how China conducts it's business other then tool shipping.
But I will be quiet on the subject from now on as I respect Big Jim!:) Beside which, he was very nice in correcting my faux pas.
A mod can delete my other post if they wish.

My turn to put in my 2 cents. For now I wont worry about e-cigs being banned. I will continue to order juice as I need it, an won't hoard stockpiles of anything. If they are banned I will assume that everything will be seized. No more carts, juice, atty's, batts, kits or any other accessories with the exception of chargers maybe.

If they are banned, that will be a total bummer, but there will be other ways of obtaining what you need. As long as there is a demand, there will be a supply somewhere. If I don't feel like going through the hassle that it might take to get supplies, I'll just go back to smoking analogs.

Reasons I don't post post-era ban stradegies anymore. Too many prying eyes.

mmmm....hmmm. Uh, yeah. The government can't find it's ... with both hands. If they can get the funding and resources to check every package from China then they got some 'splainin' to do. They just don't have the resources to police this and I doubt a bunch of wacks (that'd be us) talking on a forum will be of much concern to them, lol!

Anyhow, point taken. It's just all conjecture at this point, anyhow.
